I want to report the identity theft based on my credit report. But the police officer of Westminster Police Department in California said that she can not take my report because credit report is not a document for filing a report. Is it correct?

I see on Yahoo about child support and how if your over 2500 in back child support you can not get a passport for whatever reason, I am re-married and my husband I am married to pays child support to a child who his wife ex has denied a paternity test to my husband and is now remarried her self. I am so sick of the laws of men having even women having to pay child support ( especially men) who have been denied a paternity test and even when told the cost will be out of our pocket, people can be upset about what I have to say but I will tell you something. Women especially play games with men when it comes to things like this I have seen it, heard it and am appuled by it, I think laws should change and I think MEN especially better start thinking about the future and when your child turns 18 you go and get a paternity test and IF the child is NOT yours you sue the mother for fraud, and for whatever else you can get her for , for all back payments. eventually this will happen.my opinion
I like your answer Tony L, see I believe the courts should stop and see each case and look and see the real deal they are blinded by what ( Mostly women do to men) and the games and everything else. Sure they can withhold a passport no problem but with holding a child from seeing the other parent doesn’t seem to be a problem for them as well, where the other parent suffers.
I think Laws need to change because it hurts allot of people not just the child but the Non-custodal parent in many ways, people seem to forget that when a parent goes for child supprt by the time it hits a court they are behind and then they can never catch up especially when they ad intrest every month on top of that, I was wondering for all the americans in the USA who are in DEBT with child support who are denied paternity test or that bastard law thing ( no matter if he is or isn’t your kid) is it because the welfare dept is sick of dishing out money to mothers who don’t know who the kids dad really is? my sister needs help with a legal problem. she signed up with a company called shadow shopper agency. they sent her a cashiers check for 00 to do assignments with and 0 of which was hers for doing the secret shopper assignments. she checked the company out online and they seemed legit and the bank even called and checked the cashiers check and everything seemed to check out. two of her ‘assignments’ were to send back to the company which was based in canada large amounts of money one through western union and one using something called money gram. she recieved a call from her bank yesterday informing her that the cashiers check came back as fraudulant and she now owes her bank 00 does anyone know of any legal action she can take or what she should do. her biggest fear is getting into trouble for something she didn’t know was fraud. she was just trying to provide for her kids and instead is now in debt that is going to take her a long time to repay. thanks for any advice!

What is the best way to detect a dating mail scam? After 8 mails back and forth with this woman from Russia, she was suppose to come to the states for work and traveling in general, now she says she is in Moscow and does not have enough money to finish her trip. I THINK BEFORE ANY CHILD SUPPORT IS TAKEN FROM A GUY THERE SHOULD BE "MANDATORY PATERNITY" TEST DONE. It not fair to the child to live there life not knowing the truth.

When I go to open an attachment in Yahoo Mail I get a Warning about "this site being flagged as Phishing Site." It gives the option of Ignoring the Warning, Going Back, or Reporting an Error. It is apparently sponsored by Google? Unfortunately, none of the options actually let me download the attachment.

Why is it nothing in the drug store has "cure" written on it? Has anyone noticed this? Every product has "relief" written on it, and they barely work! Why is it that you can eat 100 oranges to help cure a cold and not die or you can take 100 cold and sinus drugs (which are SUPPOSE to help you) and you would die? Do you see what I'm saying?

This synthetic medicine can kill you if you take to much, but nothing organic will ever kill you if you take a lot of it.

For instance, when I was 15, I had a tumour in my left testicle which wasn't cancer. But the only way to see if it WAS cancer, was to cut my testicle out. The tumour was gone after that, but so was my testicle! Thousands of years of studying medicine, and this is what we've come to?

It seems that the people who make medicine are not concerned with curing illness of any kind. If they do that, theyll lose money, since their "relief" drugs arent useful anymore. Does anyone feel this way? Please share.
By the way, what I was saying about my testicle being cut out, is I'm wondering is there not a better alternative to cancer treatments? It can't be proved, but people say that EVERYTHING can be cured with things like herbs and roots. Why do we not use those instead? Are these people who produce medicine that greedy?

Face the facts world, the children are growing up in single parent homes. One parent leaves the other for whatever reason, and the child is put in the middle of the situation. One parent wants to blame the other parent and they both want to call the other names, we even have the country calling the men that do not pay "dead beat dads". The respect for family is going down the drain in the eyes of some people, and the children are witnessing this cycle of abuse. Because that is exactly what it is, abuse. I am looking for a reasonable solution to the child support issue, because I know that some custodial parents are out their doing drugs, and saying that it is the only way for them to cope with the world surrounding them. Some are making excuses to let the non custodial parents have the children, because they are using the state welfare system to go on HUD and substandard housing, making enough money and not reporting it. This is called welfare fraud. The states need to reform.

I received an e-mail from my ex stating "we" had taken him to see a "doctor" for a sore throat. I asked my ex for doctor info, i got no reply so I asked my son who told me it was a hosp…where is step-mom works. I went to get medical records to take to his doctor and was informed I could not, only a parent could. The step-mom was listed as "mother" and as i later found out, had signed documents and put "mother" where it asks for legal relationship to patient. It took me a few days, hours of phone calls and faxes and trips back and forth to prove I am his mother and had legal custody. Meanwhile, I was contacted by the legal department of this hosp. once they realized I was the "real" mom and it was suggested to me I should press charges against her for fraud and get a temp. rest. order. Has anyone dealt w/something like this? Al;ll I wanted was to get the records. Now she may lose her job as the lady I spoke with said she(step-mom) as an employee should know better. any advice?
This is not a first, just the worse! A typical situation-she takes my son to doctors, w/o my x present and I only out after w/o any info as to what doctor he was taken to. I have always provided all routine appointment…doc, dent, ortho, optomotrist, optholmologist, urologist…the list is endless. When sick & @ dads house, she takes him where ever is convenient, then I have to hear where from my son (only 10 now) to get paperwork from these places to give to my sons ped for her records. Also, we do have a court ordered primary care physician and they continually put their other kids pediatrician. This is not an oversight or an "oops". It's a regular occurance. It's just 1st time I've been told by someone at a facility I have had to do this with to press charges. I think it is because she works theres and they ARE protecting their butts. I do think pressing charges is extreme, however, i do think after 7 years and 100's of miles chasing down doc forms, maybe i should.

Supposedly personal information for over 2.5 million customers was lost, and Circuit recently notified its members. Also, the letter sent to customers mentions that First North American National Bank was the original issuer of credit for circuit city customers. However, that name doesn't sound familiar. To my knowledge it has always been Chase Bank. Any thoughts?
P.s. I'm trying to make sure the letter I received is legitimate, because the letter is requesting my social security number for free monitoring of my credit as a courtesy. It seems to me, that if this is issued by circuti city, they would already have my social. Anyone else get this letter?

School receives a fax or photocopy of what appears to be an official and valid doctor's note indicaticating illness of the child, with a signature appearing to be that of the doctor. Suspicion of fraud is based on high frequency of these notes and the apparent readiness of the doctor to submit them to the school for minor symptoms (with which most children still come to school). Parent is suspected of having Munchaussen by Proxy (kind of like hypochondria about someone else's perceived/imagined illness), thus keeping the child home for excessive and unnecessary absences. Handwriting on Doctor's notes does not seem suspicious. I wonder if there is a legal way to contact the doctor's office to verify that these notes are originating from the doctor and are not being fabricated by the parent who could have illegally obtained the doctor's note pad…

If someone is falsely using your child to claim welfare benefits, obviously this is welfare fraud. Is this also social security fraud? Isn’t social security fraud a Federal crime?

We force banks to insure with the federal government (in order to avoid another Great Depression) and force corporations to obey consumer protection laws.
Meanwhile, corporations abuse workers and consumers in third world countries. Banana republic countries do not have the high standards America and other first world countries have.

Child labor is outlawed in America but accepted in laisez-faire capitalist countries.

My son got some expensive software legally. He then decided to put it on ebay for sale, and sold to a man in netherlands for around £1000. (Was paid for in January 2008).

The buyer apparantly hasn’t been happy with it for a while now, and apparantly he thinks the software is not genuine, but offers no evidence of why. I assume he is also saying the goods are not as described.

He is demanding a full refund, but my son has no money, and on principle, I am not sorting this one out. My son is under 18.

Things that may affect this:

1. Was originally sold on ebay, but my son agreed to withdraw the auction for a better price from the buyer. So not sure whether this transaction counts as an auction. My son shouldn’t have been allowed an eBay account anyway.

2. This happened 10months ago, and the buyer took no action, i.e. Trading Standards/Legal etc…

3. My son has no money/property.

4. As this is computer software, I would assume the buyer has installed it, therefore a refund would not usually be made anyway, in a shop anyway?

We’re from the UK, and would really like some advice. Can he be sued, arrested, (fraud or something?), etc?

Best way to proceed?
