An individual was named trustee to my property and neglected to give me the grant deed as promised.. He proceeded to try a "pump and dump" on my property using a mortgage broker and a unrealistic appraisal. He borrowed excessively against the property and used the funds elsewhere. I subpoenaed the bank and discovered that everything on his application was false including more than one SS# Is a lending institution responsible for creating harm to third parties through lack of diligence and therefore, should they not be sued ,also ,for enabling this character to commit fraud? They are now trying to foreclose on my property in the midst of my law suit against the scam artist.

Is it illegial to fake your own death?

I was having a fight with 2 friends, and it was about the legality of faking your own death.

Obviously, if you gain any money (ie Insurance Fraud), commit Identity Theft, desecrate a body, dodge any debts, or child-payments, get someone blamed for your murder, or do Anything against the law, then it’s illegial. Pretend none of those things happen.

It boiled down to this scenario:
Joe has no outstanding debts, has never been married, and has no children.

Joe pretends to be kidnapped. His friend Mac helps out. Mac sends several letters to Joe’s family, demanding a ransom and threatening Joe’s safety. (Mac has no intention of collecting ransom or hurting Joe.) After a few days, Mac stops, and Joe is never heard from again. Joe’s family assume Joe has been killed.

Joe continues to use his regular identification and pays taxes.

Is this scenario illegial, or just a nasty trick?
-Hoping someone in-the-know will settle this argument.

My company has decided to invest in a new software workflow. This workflow is advertised in white papers, tradeshows and media reports (web) by a well known company.
No where do the statements say that is is a "work in progress" or a "plan" but is advertised as working now. It isn’t.
My company is in fairly deep with time and energy and now are being pressured to pay for one of the components, when they can’t even tie together all 3 of the main components to create this "workflow". Recently during a meeting with the company in question we were told that they are not responsible for what their sales people tell us, because they are a publicly held company…that all the information we were given wasn’t written on corporate letterhead, therefore it means nothing and the company does not have to stand behind it. The sales person was just "incorrect" in their assumptions.
The emails and the conversations count for nada.
The software was sold as working, not as beta, yet they don’t even have the connectivity worked out. Is this legal? Who can be held responsible?
Just to be clear, we did get the information in writing. Not only is the information in published form, but the sales reps also gave a lot of it to us in writing.

are these fair punishments for a child?

1. every time they disobey you, explain tax fraud in detail
2. Make them dig a ditch. Don’t tell them its their grave but hint at it
3. instead of a fun birthday present, give them something depressing like a photograph of injured soldiers from the civil war

Possible social security fraud. My father died about 5 yrs ago and I wasn’t able to go to funeral in Dominican Republic. Here it is 5yrs later and my half-brother calls to get a spanish version of my american birth certificate in order to sell my father’s house (there is 3 of us in total). First of all I haven’t heard from him since my father died now he half-brother pops up a month ago asking for this and got a message TODAY that he is here from PR to NY with his mother from DR to get this paper from me unannouced. Sounds fishy to me. I asked him when he called last month, where is our father buried, he said I don’t know, I got there 2 days after he died and he was already buried. I asked him if they his stopped social security payments, he said I don’t know. And maybe the cousin that is on the property has that info and goes on to say — she probably poisened him. (What’s up with that?)

YEAH RIGHT!!! NEED ALL THE ADVICE I CAN GET!!! HELP!!!

I receive pregnancy medicaid and I know once the baby is born I am obligated to cooperate with the state in order to establish child support payments.
If I say I don’t know who the father is I lose my benefits and I DO know who the father is, as does my Dr…also its on my medical paperwork and he will be present at the birth so his name will appear on the birth certificate (which Medicaid wants a copy of) so there is no way to lie to them and if I’m caught I/l be charged with Medicaid fraud and won’t ever be eligable for benefits again.
But here’s the thing…The baby’s father and I are still together. He is unemployed and cannot find work I know they will still establish child support payment but he won’t be able to pay it so that puts us in a pickle. He will have back child support payments and that will make it impossible to him to find work in Law Enforcement (he just got out of Police Training in July).
So I can’t lie to Medicaid and My bf can’t pay child support. Is there anything I can do?

If it would be easier you can email me at barnab1990@gmail.com
Also don’t say he should just get a job because he has been trying. Originally he was fine with paying child support because he thought he would’ve gotten hired SOMEWHERE by now but he has tried everywhere, not just law enforcement positions, and gotten no where.
So if you’re going to say that just don’t bother to answer. I need REAL help…
I live in Florida.
And NO WAY. Im not getting married. Not at 19 and not just because I’m having a baby with him. lol. We are NOT ready for that yet.

Also, do you think if the state is the one trying to establish the Child Support that they will allow me to set up informal payments?

Millions of people have had their lives decimated while the money guys have gotten richer and richer. I’m not talking just about swindlers like Madoff, I’m talking about mortgage swindlers and AIG executives, bankers and traders, though the Madoff types should be included.

If we allot a dollar value to a human life, like forty thousand a year for fifty years, or whatever the median income is, for an average life of working, and count the theft of this sum, about two million dollars (or less!), as capital murder, do you think this might slow down the swindlers? Imagine a mortgage broker being charged not with fraud, but with murder. Imagine an AIG executive being charged with thousands of counts of manslaughter.

I think ANY crime involving a couple million or so should be considered as capital murder. Bernie Madoff would have been charged with about four thousand counts of manslaughter.

White collar crime destroys lives, leaves people homeless and unable to support their families, and prevents responsible parents from sending their children to college to provide their offspring with better opportunities. Our whole society suffers.

What do you guys think?
You guys miss the point. A human being works his entire life for "X" amount of income, which translates to food and clothing and shelter for his family. And, security for retirement. The person who takes the money essentially erases that.

So, the big robbers get treated like big shoplifters. But, they have stolen lives and security from hundreds, or thousands, or millions of people.

Our current recession was precipitated by a bunch of greedy thieves. Those of us who worked hard, honest lives have seen our homes taken and our marriages ruined, so that executives at AIG could get multimillion dollar bonuses.

And, these guys have driven the nails into the coffins of a lot of smart people who would otherwise have gone to college, but are now eking out minimum wage lives. They did not steal money. They stole a generation of folk who could otherwise advance the American dream.

They deserve capital punishment. Might make the next crew think twice, don’t you think?

I am recently divorced from my ex husband because he committed adultery and had 2 children with another woman. When we went to court to decide child support . He had the other woman type a document saying he was paying her 0 dollars a month . So the judge factored this in and gave him credit. I recently found out that he was living with the woman at the time we went to court..He even went so far as to give me his old address . When he knows good and well he doesn’t live there. My children and I live 3 hours away. But this weekend my son stayed with him and his other family and slept on the couch. He has his mail being forwarded from his old address to a p.o. box. Can I have the child support case modifidied for fraud. I should have guessed when he told the judge he only wanted once a month visitation. That something was up.

Global Capitalist Conspircy Theory?

This theory is premised on unbridled greed carried out to its logical conclusion. First, a primer.
The Dow averages fell from their record lifetime highs within hours of Bush’s speech on tax cuts. It troughed amid growing concerns of corporate fraud. It’s rise from the bottom coincided with Americas invasion in Iraq in March of 2003. Corporate profitibility was sustained by massive deficit spending which financed the war. Huge profits flowed into corporate coffers. This all adds up to the looting of america.
Now, what will these capitalists do with their wealth? Will they use the proceeds to finance their next expansion?
I suspect that greed knows no bounds and they will not stop until they have totally bankrupted america. What will they then do? Will they take over another country far from the madness of the crowds in the North American cities, or can they live side by side with the sprawling masses? I suspect they have quietly been buying up land in South Africa.
draciron, great answer! Not a bit wordy either, The same facts I considered as well in posing my question. Any others to expand on this?

My hubby received a one page-2 sided questionaire from Social Security that asked about events regarding his disability since 2007. They ask if he worked, if so how much earnings, any meetings with his doctor, any changes, any confirmation of disability. It had a deadline of by end of June 2009, and had his Social Security Number vertically emblazoned along the edge of the 2nd side.

Are you familiar with what document I am asking about?
Do you know what this is all about?
Is this Pres. Obama "cleaning house" of Social Security fraud?
Have you read of anything on this?

Please advise and thanks!

IRS and tax fraud?

This is the second year that my ex has claimed both children on tax return. I have sole custody and never signed a release for exemption form for him to claim even one child. Now, I have sent all appropriate documents to IRS proving this , what can they do now to catch him and about how long should it take? Can they physically come after him?

My husband and I do not live together but are not divorced, he is claming to government agencies that out children live with him and not with me. He also lives with his pregnant girlfriend and they both have an income but does not report her. I do not know how to prove to these agencies that my children live with me. I recieve no government help but I do have a full time job. He has applied for food stamps and government insurance and has changed the childrens addresses at thier doctors office and school to his. When i try to change them back they say they need proof. I do not want to keep him from seeing his children. I am also not looking to get the benifits for myself, but I do not believe it is fair that he claims to the goventment that he is the sole parent. Is court the only way for me to get this straightened out?

Possible credit card fraud?

My best friend might be in some trouble and we’re trying to figure this out.
Her employer issued her an Amex corporate card. Although it was against company policy to use the card for personal reasons periodically she did. She had all the intentions to pay it back since she wasn’t trying to loose her job over it. She had a personal balance on the card of 1K when suddenly she got laid off. She stopped paying on the card and since she was now broke she she took out cash from the Amex and maxed it out at 6K. Three weeks later she received a visa corporate card in the mail. Apparently her employer switched credit card companies and for whatever reason they sent her one too although she no longer worked there. Desparately, she used that card to pay her rent and utilies several months out and she figured in time she’d work out a repayment deal with the credit card companies once she was back working or something. She ran up 11k dollars on the visa card. Her ex-employer is now investigating the matter. Is this credit card fraud? Is the employer liable? Can the employer press charges – If so what? What penalties could she be facing – jail, probation, etc? The cards were in her name but she did know that company policy was to not use the cards for personal reason. She has an irrelevant misdeamor from 1996. Other than that she’s clean. She lives in IL. Serious answers ONLY please. Thank you.

That bank distorted millions of dollars from both brokers and investors, but yet they get a settlement, but the amount they stole was a few hundred billion dollars, and yet you download one DVD o rmusic file they want to throw you in jail for 5-10 years. As far as I’m concern these people including the president and the CEO of that bank should be executed upon conviction.
Isn’t fraud supposed to be time in jail?

That’s thousands of paper shredders working non stop at Acorn offices around the country to destroy evidence enabling prostitutes, tax evaders, child pornographers, illegal smuggling of minors for forced prostitution, voter fraud, pay offs, and Rico activities. That’s organized crime but in a civil manner. Can we call this Obamacorn? Obama himself paid Acorn 0,000 for illegal vote gathering. How many millions of illegal votes were cast? How many underage prostitute’s were housed by Acorn? How many minors were smuggled in for forced prostitution? Five videos around the country show systemic evil and corruption.

and spent it immediately and I didn’t even sign up for their pyramid scheme!! Or do you think they would arrest me and say I filled out a false report? We all know how the government operates.
flower- it is not always true that you get more money back than you put into social security. not only does it depend on how long you live and when you retire, but you are not factoring inflation into the equation. the dollars that the government stole from me were worth far more than the money you get back. the dollar has devalued 95% since the inception of the federal reserve. i do not limit my anger toward social security, i am against all government programs. i believe social security steals more money than it gives back to society, i believe social security is making elderly people poor. before medicare the average elderly family paid less than 2000 dollars a year (adjusted for inflation to 1999 dollars) yet in 1999 the average family spent over 4000 dollars. medicare didnt help old people and neither does social security. do you really think people would just die when they turn 65 if these programs didnt exist?

This law allows an alleged father to challenge the paternity of a child with genetic evidence. If he wins (proves that the child is not his), he is no longer required to pay child support.

Men’s rights advocates claim the law gives justice to men decieved into paying child support for someone else’s child. Child advocates claim the law is not in the best interests of mothers or children, and will increase the state’s welfare burden.

What is your opinion?
This article from the Miami Herald gives more details:

http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/breaking_news/15882285.htm

As far as I know, the law does not apply to adoptive fathers. It is only for men who accept responsibility for a child under the mistaken assumption that they are the biological father of the child.

Including tax breaks and corporate welfare for companies that lay workers off to outsource jobs for more extreme profits from outsourced jobs and corporate welfare, besides not caring if workers live or die from not having healthcare, as conservatives have after all – thrown fits about workers having healthcare so they don’t die?
After all isn’t anyone wants to stop from being ripped off from fraud or from CEOs embezzling their employees pensions or anyone who wants decent pay or benefits to keep up with the costs of living or anyone who wants to not die from pneumonia or cancer – a marxist or commie?

My husband has sent his ex more than the required amount of child support every month since they separated. But, to get more money, she signed the kids up for welfare and told them he has never paid support. The boys are living with us and have been with us 70% of the time in the last 2 years! In March the state of Missouri said he owed k in back support and started garnishing his wages 00/mo. After 2 months of letters, numerous phone calls and mailing receipts etc to prove he doesn’t owe it, we finally got the case closed. I called to ask about being reimbursed for the 00 they had taken that he didn’t owe and was told we couldn’t get it back. They had sent her part of it and put the rest toward her welfare debt! How can this be legal? It’s not his debt! I did turn her in to social services for welfare fraud. This has caused us a serious financial hardship. Is there anything we can do to get our money back from the state?
Barb, I am so glad you know everything! Yes she was awarded custody and child support in the divorce. He started paying her support starting the month they separated and sometimes sent her extra just because he wanted to make sure they had what they needed! Then 6 months later called and told us to come get the boys because she couldn’t handle them! They have been with us ever since. They have started calling me Mommy. Don’t tell me It’s none of my business! I am the one that takes care of these boys 24/7! I am the one who has watched them and my own kids go without because she was selfish! And don’t tell me we don’t deserve to be reimbursed! We proved that he didn’t owe her a dime, that’s why they closed the case!

Maybe you should go back and read the question again, because you obviously didn’t understand the situation. Or maybe you are just hostile because you have dealt with a dead beat dad. I have been there! But my husband is a great dad and takes care of his kids and mine!
