Do you think that Obama will push to reverse the IRS emphasis on auditing the middle-class over the wealthy?
Bush had massively cut auditors in the IRS that specialized in going after Corporate tax fraud and the wealthiest tax-payers. I haven’t read anything about this subject yet…Have you?

No I haven’t But I think he should have the Senate checked by The IRS something tells me that all the Republicans won’t come up smelling like a rose or the Dem’s for that matter
He’s a man of his word.
We’re all adjusting to that right now, since it’s been absent in politics for so long.
Now I’m not going to say that Barack Obama will just come into the Oval Office and instantly fix the econemy. I feel that he will improve our econemy. He has said that he is going to help defend the middle class, so I supposed that could include auditing the wealthy.
Certainly. If today’s decision to cap the salaries of the wall street executives whose companies have received govt. aid is any indication, I would most certainly like to believe that he would make decisions that would change the emphasis like you stated.
The IRS can’t audit the very wealthy, they hide their wealth behind partnerships, and LLCs and trusts. Most lawyers cant even find their wealth to do the audit. Read about all of the off shore tax havens that allow secret accounts, like the Cayman islands.
But they can march into your house, and sieze every piece of paper and computer disk, and basically make your life miserable for 100.00. even if it wasn’t a mistake, its just horse manure.
The IRS only audits middle class people. They rarely ever find any rich folks.
