How can you determine if a property is approved for Section 8 if you feel fraud is being committed?
There is a neighbor who has been on assistance from time to time who has a better lifestyle than everyon else, owns a business yet appears to get subsidies. Her mothr owns the home and "rents" to her. She does the same with another child who freely admits to being purposely on welfare. It appears as if the taxpayers migt be paying for these houses.

Families who participate in the program must abide by a series of rules and regulations, often referred to as "family obligations," in order to maintain their voucher, including accurately reporting to the PHA all changes in household income and/or family composition so the amount of their subsidy (and the applicable rental unit size limitation) can be updated accordingly. In recent years, the HUD Office of the Inspector General has spent more time and money on fraud detection and prevention.
You can be a whistleblower without even giving your name.
the address of your local HUD agency is available at hud.gov online.
there is also, last i looked, a link to their inspector’s office where you may file a detailed report/complaint.
afaik, section 8 assistance will be denied if the property is owned by anyone related to the tenant. or so I was told some years back.
i work very hard b-cuz millions of people on welfare depend on me.
Dont get involved. Typically states now require welfare mothers to work. So someone is watching her and checking out her financial situation. Maybe she just appears to have a good life but doesnt. She might get stuff from her mother so that is why she appears to have nice things.
Dont get involved it will only get you harassed in the end by her. If you get her funding cut you should expect to get cut.
You don’t know if someone gave her that stuff. She is not required to sell everything till she only has baby toys, junk mail, and cardboard boxes in her house.
Maybe she has a disability.
Now if you see her selling food stamps…that is definitely fraudulent.
