How much can you sure for in small court (CA)?

The maximum dollar amount , any one know?
Also where should I start the process, I have a mortgatge broker that’s about to have a big fraud stamp on his head when I’m done with him.

if you (plf) are suing as an individual, and not a business, your limit is $7,500. however if you had happened to be a business, and were suing, your limit would be $5,000
