If you lose your social security card, what are the chances of identity theft?
Is losing your SSN enough for someone to completely steal your identity?

It all depends on where the card ends up. The chances are definitely higher now. Here’s an article on protecting yourself against these kinds of things. Hope it helps:
i lost my ss card and my drivers license (my whole wallet) stolen 6 years ago. i get my credit report annually and have not had a problem. i have excellent credit.
i believe so unfortunately, especially if you have your signature on there that they can forge. it doesnt take much to have your identity stolen these days. you should contact a social security office about that and see if they can do something so no one gets the chance.
no, not really they will need ur i.d.
Yes – I would check my credit report regularly to make sure no one is using your information to commit fraud. You can obtain a free credit report at http://www.annualcreditreport.com.
Or you can look into credit monitoring. My identity theft protection includes credit monitoring. I have unlimited access to my real time credit report and the send me email alerts anytime anything changes. I have SOLUS ID. http://www.solusid.com
