question on russian dating scams?

okay I just ended an online "relationship" with a russian woman. I am 99.9% sure it was a scam. my question is the next time I am contacted by a russian woman should I ignore her because of the risks, are all russian women who contact you really out for your money. Also even if she were real I really dont have much of a chance to get her out of Russia anyway because I hear it is impossible for her to obtain a visa, is this true?

Obviously not all russia women who contact you first are our for your money. But you should be on alert if your ad is on yahoo personals for example, you get a letter from a girl which profile says she’s from US, for example – and in her letter she says she’s actually from Russia. That kind of beginning can lead in most cases to scam.
In general – don’t believe if somebody process love to you after 2-3-4 letters, you can google lines from her letter and see if it appear in some scam sites. DO NOT SEND MONEY! So this is the most important thing. Ask her for her home numberand try to call her to see if she’s for real.
You can ask for the home address – and check it in google if it exists or to order flower delivery for example – for the special date – and they can make a picture of her with the flowers.
As for visa – if she has previous visas she can get visa to your country but if you’re from the US it’s more difficult than to Europe. To the US to tell the truth it’s 80% impossible. But you can travel to her city to see her. That’s what most people recommend to do – you can see not only her, but her circle of friends, family so to know more about her.
And if everything is ok you can apply for fiancee visa – or what type of visa exists in your country to bring a spouse.
If you don’t have enough patience to go through this process – this risky process – and more that that – you don’t have enough finances (travelling, bringing her to your country, paying for all needed documents are not cheap), you then better try to find somebody local.
