You should go to Social Security with your guardian. Report that you no longer live with your representative payee (mother) and that you are not receiving benefit of any of your Social Security monthly benefit.
They will investigate and if necessary change your representative payee to yourself or your new guardian.
if you were kicked out of your house then there must be a reason why shes not giving you anything i believe you don’t deserve it, sure your intitled to but your parents have the right to decide when your responseable with it
Maybe you should call child protective services and ask them what you should do. If you’re under someone else’s guardianship, why is it that they won’t help you? They should be if they’re your guardians.
You are entitled Social security from your fathers death, most widows can not collect their husbands SS until they are 55 with disability,or 62.
your mother is getting that SS because she has kids under 18 or in school or disabled. Check the Social Security site at Social security .gov
And look up death benefits for children! if I were you I would look into it
soon!
I’m pretty sure that money she receives is survivors benefits and is supposed to help your Mom, you and if there are any other children in the family. This would include food, shelter, clothing to until at least your 18th b-day, or sometimes beyond if you are going to college.
Even if she kicked you out or you left on your own, she should still help you out!!
