My husband and I do not live together but are not divorced, he is claming to government agencies that out children live with him and not with me. He also lives with his pregnant girlfriend and they both have an income but does not report her. I do not know how to prove to these agencies that my children live with me. I recieve no government help but I do have a full time job. He has applied for food stamps and government insurance and has changed the childrens addresses at thier doctors office and school to his. When i try to change them back they say they need proof. I do not want to keep him from seeing his children. I am also not looking to get the benifits for myself, but I do not believe it is fair that he claims to the goventment that he is the sole parent. Is court the only way for me to get this straightened out?

My ex had our child last week(5/5) and she called me a week later to tell me to come see my son at her house, she didnt add me to the birth cert or give him the name we picked out togther, she didnt call me from the hospital either but i know he is mine the moment i looked into his face, looks just like his daddy.
well she lives with her parents with her two other children, in a three bedroom home, she hasnt had a job in atlease two years and lives off of the govt. with wic and others, she cant get food stamps for a year because she had a fraud case against that or something.
overall she is a great mom-should me how to hold the baby, feed him, change his diaper and etc.
but she only wants me to come around a few days a week and few hours a day.
what happen, we broke up over money, i wanted to get things for the baby when she was 5 months pregnant and she wanted to spend it on her children.

I asked in a similar question but it a different catagory, I thought maybe legal adivse would help better for this problem my husband is having. He has been paying child support for a little over a year now, he was court order to pay 100 a week by a judge when they got divorced, he paid her directly through her account. He has almost 5,000 in his bank statements that show he sent them to her account. About 6 months ago he received a letter saying he owes 2,000 dollars to her for non payment. He also has a letter of which weeks and what amount was paid and her signature is on the paper, so she went to child support saying he hadn’t really been paying. She needed to go to child support because she was pregnant and needed medicaid for herself, she is remarried but receives food stamps, child support from a previous relation and she get unemployment. I don’t know whether she told dcf she was getting 400 a month or not, but now my husband bank account is negative 4,000 in checking and in savings, his license is suspended, he now has 120 coming out of his paycheck every week, on a bad week he will bring home only 260. There isn’t a way to prove if she lied on her medicaid application or not but the letter she signed basically says she’s agreed that that was all she was given. She even said to him that she would call and tell them he was up to date but they needed her to come in and she never did because she’s too lazy too, she hasn’t worked in almost 2 years. And on top of everything all the times she had not come to pick the kids up and he had them for a week or more, he has the kids 3 to 4 days during the week, and that’s overnight. she begged him to take the kids when he was working while she was giving birth to another child even though he had to work, I even watch the kids when he can’t. Is there a way to get her for fraud? And pay the over draft fees?
We just need some good advise, we are already going to child support to straighten it out, but there are overdraft fees, and lisence renstatements penalties to pay too. We have a baby on the way and need to clear up this matter.
Bad mouthing would be much worse if I wanted to, she has 5 kids with 4 different dads, has no job, is about 5′4 and 350 lbs after having so many kids and doesn’t take care of herself or the kids at all, her house has been visited by dcf twice because she doesn’t take care of her house or the kids, no its not bad mouthing its just God honest truth.

I have been trying to get my sister’s step grand daughter help that she needs. Her mother is severely addicted to crack she lives in a home where everyone is either addicted to crack or to prescription meds to the point that they sell their food stamps this family is on government assistance (believe me I have turned them in for fraud before) The girls grandmother screams in the little girls face I hate you and her mother neglects her there is never food in the house the girl is dirty all the time and goes to school smelly and is made fun of. I have called child protective services as well as other people and nothing is really done. I contacted the little girls school yesterday and talked to the school counselor to see if maybe she could get involved and help the little girl but she down played my concerns. I don’t know what else to do.. I worry about the little girl that something bad is going to happen to her. The cops have been called out to this house so many times for domestic disputes and the house is really filthy I do not see why they do not do something about it. My no good sister does not want to get involved because she does not want the little girl in her home. I would take her in if I had room. What else could I do to try to help this little girl?

little bit of a detailed situation, The mom and the dad split up. He has to pay her a certain amount of child support. She’s had food stamps, government supplied healthcare and WIC assistance when raising the first child. Now she had another baby with a live-in boyfriend who is transiently employed.

She lied to get food stamps, for instance, asking for them when the 2nd father wasn’t employeed or when she wasn’t employeed herself. Since they do have employment some of the time, she lied.

So I know that’s fraud, the government could ask her to pay back some portions and even deny her for future assistance. Now, this being said, will the child support being paid by the first father be able to be legally raised if she were denied food stamps (in order to compensate)?

We’re worried that she’ll raise what he’s already paying (which is a lot as it is given that we are the ones that clothe the child, provide day care and have extended stays well past what we are expected with her because her mom and her boyfriend are always fighting and breaking up. It’s perfectly fine for her to stay with us for as long as she needs a loving place to stay, but the fact that he pays SO much to child support then we end up supporting her is ridiculous.

Given her support from the government, the only thing the child support would go to is the mom’s gas and rent (which is reduced due to her income to 0 per month and bills are covered partially under an allowance). Ya I know.. that’s cheap right?

We just wish the money we pay her could go more toward the child and less toward her.

We’re just worried that if and when she’s denied food stamp assistance that his child support will be raised. We’re just getting by one what we have and that would really put us in a bind.

Thanks!
I don’t mean to be selfish, but even though she gets child support, she still tells us we have to pay for all miscellaneous medical expenses even though that’s not what’s in the papers and she’s covered by government assistance. And she tells us we have to buy this and that all the time because she doesn’t have the money to, even though he doubles her net income by child support.

It’s crazy. I know that it’s to her discretion but this is just asinine. And we found out she uses what money she has to go get tattoos and buy beer and bail her boyfriend outta jail and pay his installments on fines at the court house when he doesn’t have a job. Ugh. It’s sickening me. And she refuses to clothe her little girl, saying she never has any money.

The pro Advocate’s want to site rules, why are illegal aliens not required to obey any rules instead they shower them with, oh they just want a better life nevermind those silly rules. Though pro advocate’s siting of rules— what about the rules illegal aliens have to follow like a process to go through if they want come here ? What about those rules ?Where is the advocate’s siting of rules when illegal aliens get to lie,get to steal, get free medical care, document fraud and food stamps ? It was proven on CNN in Oklahoma , when the state admitted to the fact they do give food stamps and welfare to illegal aliens. Only the pro advocate’s seem to be saying illegal aliens are not require to follow any rules = they just want a better life. Do the pro advocate’s have double standards much like Mexico does ? Aren’t they sounding a lot like Mexico these day’s ?
Fruit has nothing to do with rules. Doesn’t matter that an illegal picked a veggie. Rules are rules
Fuser, I’m talking about immigration rules and you want to talk about selling flowers.

Insurance Fraud / how to get a dependancy overide?

1. Insurance fraud–is it fraud when you cash a claim check but do not put fourth the money to fiix a vehicle?

2. How can you get a Dependancy Overide?

basic back ground: Age 18, High school diploma, with past and present work experience, am trying to get food stamps and partial unemployment for the fact not getting enbough hours to survive on… am on my own and trying despritally to go to college

put it this way…my mother told me to get the hell out of the house about 2 weeks before graduation (life was always hell being forced to live there)…(the school juvi officer didnt do shit especially since my father not wanting the cops attention he basically made me stay…day after graduation moved to help grandparents (in a diffrent state) unfortunatly circumstances forced me to leave the grandparents home and am currently renting a room from a family have made freinds of while have tried to start a new life.

recently just found out my father cashed the insurance money (that was supposed to go to fixing the hail damage on my truck (my truck as in its in both our names are on the title) as well as the vandilized key scratches) and stuck it in his pocket or rather into the 92 chevy purchace. Honestly had it been for the case that he needed to pay a bill bad enough or needed food for the house it would have been fine especially if he offered to fix the truck. However in short words he told me "whatever its in my name and you cant do anything about it..the insurance company will not give you any info"

needless to say with the past bullshit and this he has choosen not to have a relationship with his daughter.

Next pay check goes to getting onto my own insurance policy or at least seeing if cant get on with the family that im staying with ( honestly the people am staying with have been more parents than i’ve ever had!)… Neither parents or i seem to want contact with eachother and honestly it probably needs to stay that way.

since moving out Ive been living in a CLEAN, STABLE enviorment, am LESS STRESSED out and never has anyone berated or hit me in this new HOME enviorment

Im hopeing to be a college student… am enrolled with scholarship for august 31st..the only thing they have done for my college is give info to help get a scholarship for those who make less than 000 a year…but they made too much for fasfa

is there any way to get a dependancy overide if can prove have no contact with parents…how long do you have to not have contact to attain this overide?

I am told when changing your name in Georgia (or other states) you have to sign an oath stating you "are NOT changing your name for purposes of evading criminal or civil prosecution or debt." I know a 42 yr old convicted felon who was able to seal his extensive Chicago record but could NOT expunge drug dealing & gun possession charges. Changed his last name in 99′ while living in Chicago. He became a Georgia resident 5 yrs ago. in 05′ – convicted for writing bad checks in Clayton county. has 3 warrants in Dekalb county for unpaid tickets w/3 more turning into warrants soon. his yearly tax refund is intercepted for child support arrears. he has defaulted school loans and numerous other debts and I have a default judgment of k against him and baby mama for fraud. He obviously LIED under oath when PURPOSELY hiding his past/present history in order 2 change his name. Isn’t this a felony? His sole purpose to change his name is to evaid prosecution & hide from his debts!
and to add insult to injury let me further explain – he has 5 kids (age 3 to 23) w/4 different women. his youngest childs mom has 4 kids (age 3 to 17) w/4 different guys. they have been together 4 yrs & committing FRAUD against Section 8, welfare, food stamps, medicaid, IRS and unemployment WHILE US TAXPAYERS PAY FOR THEM TO USE AND ABUSE THE SYSTEM making it harder for those who really need the assistance to get it. If that doesn’t upset you I don’t know what will. Look at the age of their children – how many years have us taxpayers been supporting them because mama and daddy are not capable of doing so or too damn lazy or are just trifling.

I’m going to get right down to the situations here.
My dad owes my mom child support money, she hasn’t received any in over a year for six months my mother has been trying to get the child support company to make my father pay child support through the court but they keep making her call back and never help her out.
My older brother who is 17 moved down state to live with his friends. His friends mother is asking for child support when it wasn’t even my mothers decision it was his hes always been the "I have to win type of person". My mother cannot at this time afford to send him child support money but they are demanding it. They claim that they have already talked to my dad but they are insisting that my mom pays the child support and they wont bring him back up here plus since my mom moved since hes been down there we have no room for him at this smaller house. We also do not want him here because he has always been the abusive and argumentative type.
Also my mom has custody so isn’t it my dads responsibility to pay child support not my moms? and isn’t his friends mom not supposed to receive child support from him because she does not have custody, he is only living with them? Please help out, what should we do in this situation? is there any laws that will help fight their claimed laws?
They are also claiming fraud against my mom because she receives social security for a disability and food stamps. he lived down there for five months before my mom took him off the food stamps because she thought he was coming back. And she did not know that she received money for him on her social security so she hasn’t had a chance to take him off that. she does doesnt she??
Please answer as many questions as you can. Thankyou.

Georgia child support enforcement?

Any idea how much child support a non-custodial parent will have to pay for 1 child, 3 yrs old? Research via website says 17-23% -I am not sure if this is accurate or has increased. Am trying 2 guestimate how much CSE will garnish from his checks. I have default judgment against him & will have his wages garnished shortly-trying to figure how much $ will be sent to me biwkly AFTER child supt is deducted. Both parents do not own anything. He makes .71 hr, she is custodial parent-makes .10-.25 hr. she has 4 kids w/4 men (none of the daddies support their kids-taxpayers have been doing so for MANY years) & Section 8 pays majority of her rent. he has 5 kids w/4 different women – only 2 kids under 18 yrs-his taxes r intercepted yrly for 10 yr old. he probably illegally claims her as a dependent as well. been GA. resident 5 yrs YET claims 3 sons in IL. as dependents while his mom raises(d) them & he barely sent $ during 5 yrs. this is only portion of fraud he/they have committed.
Actually in my question I did NOT go into ALL the details regarding the depth of FRAUD that these 2 people have committed during their 4 yrs together-MUCH fraud against Section 8, welfare, food stamps, medicaid, IRS & unemployment and a few more that I have found out about-and us taxpayers end up paying for it – as a taxpayer you should be upset too.

My name was sent to the fraud department?

I was getting money from emergency disability and food stamps for 3 years. I knew I had to report when I got married. I called 2 days after my wedding and left a message on my case workers machine. She never called me back after my honeymoon I called again and she yelled at me for not telling her within 10 days even though I left a message for her. Then she said my benefits were going to be cancelled and I would get a letter and it would say the date it would be cancelled. I realized the other day it has been 4 months and I haven’t heard anything and I was still getting money. So I tried to call and no one was answering so I went there and she yelled at me again saying that she never told me I was getting letter and she said she would have told me to bring my marriage certificate. If she told me to do that I would have. I told her I didn’t mean to deceive anyone or do anything wrong and she said I am sure you didn’t but I am still reporting you to the Fraud Dept. Now I am terrified I don’t know what to do. Should I call a lawyer? I don’t want to go to prison or anything. She also told me it may take up to a year for me to hear anything from them I sufffer from an anxiety disorder and I am making myself sick I can’t feel like this for a year.
I didn’t realize it wasn’t being processed and I was using what I got to pay my bills it went right into the bank no checks. I am an idiot I didn’t know how long these things take.

Should I report possible fraud?

Someone I know may be commiting fraud and not reporting all her income to the agencies. This woman "Joan" was a partner in a small business, but nothing was in her name so she received cash under the table. The business fell through within months. Then she got another job on payroll until she had surgery and now claims she can no longer work. So currently while she’s waiting on her disability claim she gets different government assistance such as food stamps, etc. This woman claims to not have money and is unemployed, but yet just spent over 00 cash on christmas presents for her kids, has bank cd’s, her parents give her money, gets child support, her lover gives her money every month and on and on. Most unemployed people can’t spend 00’s on frivilious things. This woman applies for benefits even though she doesn’t need it and is not reporting all her monies. If you have 00 for shopping sprees, then why the hell is she on foodstamps. It is unfair and takes way from others who truly need it. This person brags and brags about what she gets to me, this is how I found out. I have no proof of any of this and only know what she tells me. She may also be stretching the truth, too. I don’t know. All I know is if you have monies coming from everywhere and still get assistance, then I know she isn’t reporting everything she should. Especially her small business that wasn’t in her name this year. In order to get assistance you must have limited money and her money ain’t limited.

A few years ago, my girlfriend moved in with me. She was only 14 at the time with 2 younger sisters and had divorced parents. Her mom had custody whilst her dad paid child support (0 a week), for about the past 3 years. The whole reason she moved in with me is because her mom moved into a small apartment with her boyfriend and it only had 2 rooms. Her mom basically brought all my girlfriend’s stuff to my house one day and said she was allowed to move in, acting like she was doing us a favor.

Anyway, for the past 3 years her mom has been receiving child support for my girlfriend along with an additional amount to her food stamps. Her mom only has two kids living with her and claims on all her taxes/child support papers/food stamps that she still has 3. My girlfriend turns 18 later this year and her mom still has yet to give her any financial aid. We have tried asking her if she could just give us the child support amount meant for my girlfriend but her usual response is "I’m in debt and I have barely enough to get by this month", although that’s a lie because of all the things we have seen she has bought lately. So we were wondering if we could at least report her mom for fraud or somehow get the money returned back to her dad. Who would we have to call and what proof would we have to provide if this was an applicable case? I know she isn’t required by law to give any child support money to her daughters, but our main goal is just making sure her mom stops getting child support money that she doesn’t deserve.

Very difficult, fraud and custody issue?

We know someone who receives state assistance (food stamps, MA) We believe she lies to fit under the income limit.
No, she does not work, but her parents provide her with a very hefty allowance. She drives a 2008 car, her parents bought her a 2000+ sq ft house (kept in their name) and her house is furnished with completely brand new things, including 42" lcd tv and white leather sectional. This makes me so mad!
She also always has money to spend, she normally pays for her friends to go out 2-3 times per week.
She is the mother of my boyfriend’s son. We have custody of him, she receives assistance because of an older daughter. She has not paid child support in 2 years, over 4k behind, and facing a jail sentence. She is now trying to fight for custody, although she has also shown no interest in her son in over 3 yrs. We need to know what type of action we can take to expose her fraud and lying, if any. She does not love the boy, she is only doing this because she doesn’t want jail…
We also would like to get her audited by the IRS, but do not know how to go about that. We want to protect our son. Right now she is using him as a pawn in her games, and it is not right. We love him, She has already said in front of him that she wishes she had an abortion.. This is not right!

He has lived with us since before his 2nd birthday, he is now 5. As far as I am concerned, I have raised him, I love him, and she has not even called to say hello, so even if it is not legal, he is my son, and always will be regardless.
As for vindictiveness, we had no problems with her until she decided to try to turn his life upside down again. Yes, I am angry, but not out of jealousy, out of love for a little boy…

There is an individual that has been claiming illegally to receive PA state welfare and assistance, she pretty much has it all, food stamps, child care, medical, energy, ALL. She has split (50/50)custody of her child with the father, but on her assistance claims, she stated that she has full custody of the child. Every residence she has lived in has been with a prior or current boyfriend, with his name on the lease, bills are also split 50/50. She has been reported by numerous individuals many times, because of her, the father is unable to get assistance that is needed, and its also been reported and proven that she lets family members, friends, etc use assistance to their benefits. Not to mention the obscene amount of money that goes towards their 6 pets, video games, etc. My biggest question is how long before the state reviews all the fraud claims and possibly reviews her.

I live in Iowa and my cousin dumped her son on us. We are financially stable as far as our family however I did not anticipate having another teen in the house which will put a hardship on us if we treat him like one of our own. His mother has 3 kids–3 different dads– and takes care of none of them…the other 2 live with dad/step dad…however she still receives social security death benefits for one–lives rent free with a relative–still married to daddy #3 (the child I have stepdad) but supposedly separated until it comes to EIC time and the big tax refund they get….I did get the child on medicaid because our insurance wont cover him and the state of Iowa recently apporved us for a care giver grant of 183.00 monthly. It seems ridiculous that 183.00 is suppose to cover a 15 year old child monthly because that to me barely covers food/clothing/hygeine not to mention school trips, he will need a car soon, wants a cell phone, needs clothing (he came to us with 2 pairs of jeans, no socks no winter coat, 5 shirts, a sweatshirt and about 4 pairs of underwear–we have successfully gotten him a coat, socks, some jeans and shirts and underclothes) Can I sue mom or step dad for child support and if I can how do I do it??? Also I have turned her in for welfare fraud, social security fraud (cuz the kid she gets money for that lives with step dad) food stamp fraud…..but am doubtful anything will come out of that….amazingly she still thinks she should get food stamps because the kids "may" be with her once a week……Its pathetic!!!! Add it up…she gets 800.00 social security, 600.00 food stamps…..plus just received over 4000.00 from "her share of income taxes with husband"…..makes me wonder why i work and stay married:0

Welfare Fraud?

If a person getting food stamps is using them for another family also, is that welfare fraud? Also suspicions of not reporting all money coming into household due to selling things. Ideas?

if the husbands works, and he not reported as living in her house. all 4 kids are on medicaid, and she receives food stamps. The ex. does not have to pay child support. as she dropped that on him after the divorce. I am ask, to buy this story as they are in my family. they say there is nothing legally wrong here. but it just don’t sound right. I can’t say anything because they have a sick child. that has to have surgey soon. but I am just scared they will be caught, if I am right that this is fraud. thank you
Thank you all so much, you will never know how much this information has help me. It’s just so sad I have some one in my family that would do this. it’s heart breaking.

Questions about child custody…..?

I’m nervous because my brother is going to court in a week and is suing for full custody of his children and we reside in a state that is known for having a sexist bias that favors mothers, New York State.
So, I’m wondering if people who have been through custody disputes can shed some light on whether they think is enough here for my brother gain full custody of his children.
The children have been in his temporary custody for about the past week or 2 when the judge issued the temporary custody arrangement with the belief that the children’s mother, who threatened to slit her wrist after an argument about housework, was deemed unstable. She is however allowed supervised visitation until they go to court.

Other information about this case and the children’s mother:
- The children’s mother has no stable place of residence. She’ll be living at my parents’ second home, which she shared with my brother, until the end of the 30 days that she is allotted before my parents can evict her.
- She has no steady income to provide for her children. She hasn’t held a steady job for more than 3 or 4 weeks at a time and hasn’t worked in over two years. Instead, she has lived off my brother for the last two years. He, on the other hand, has always held a steady job. She says that the reasons that she can’t work are due to anger problems and scoliosis of her back. she even tried to get a doctor to fill out paperwork saying she is medically unable to work due to these problems. The doctor refused, saying that medically there is no reason she can’t work.
- She dropped out of high school at 16 and therefore, sets a poor example for her children. my brother completed high school and did some college work.
- We recently found out that she had committed welfare fraud by failing to report two ,000 court settlements (which she received for an injury as a child) when she applied for food stamps and state assistance to supplement my brother’s income.
- She has no car or driver’s license to use for her children in case of emergencies.
-She has a documented history of domestic violence in the form of several police reports citing that she physically assaulted my brother.
- Even though she has visitation. Her children, ages 2 and 5, never want to see her. In fact, my 5 year old nephew said the other day that he didn’t want to see his mother because "Mommy is always angry."
- She and her mother, who she’ll be moving back with, are chain smokers and smoke around the kids. I don’t know how much weight the courts put on this issue, but as someone who had a history of asthma attacks as a child that were a result of my father’s smoking, I’m very passionate about children’s right to breathe clean air.

‘m asking people who have been through custody cases, do you think there is enough here for a man to sue for full custody of 2 children in a state that has a notorious reputation for leaning toward mothers?
