There is an individual that has been claiming illegally to receive PA state welfare and assistance, she pretty much has it all, food stamps, child care, medical, energy, ALL. She has split (50/50)custody of her child with the father, but on her assistance claims, she stated that she has full custody of the child. Every residence she has lived in has been with a prior or current boyfriend, with his name on the lease, bills are also split 50/50. She has been reported by numerous individuals many times, because of her, the father is unable to get assistance that is needed, and its also been reported and proven that she lets family members, friends, etc use assistance to their benefits. Not to mention the obscene amount of money that goes towards their 6 pets, video games, etc. My biggest question is how long before the state reviews all the fraud claims and possibly reviews her.

I live in Iowa and my cousin dumped her son on us. We are financially stable as far as our family however I did not anticipate having another teen in the house which will put a hardship on us if we treat him like one of our own. His mother has 3 kids–3 different dads– and takes care of none of them…the other 2 live with dad/step dad…however she still receives social security death benefits for one–lives rent free with a relative–still married to daddy #3 (the child I have stepdad) but supposedly separated until it comes to EIC time and the big tax refund they get….I did get the child on medicaid because our insurance wont cover him and the state of Iowa recently apporved us for a care giver grant of 183.00 monthly. It seems ridiculous that 183.00 is suppose to cover a 15 year old child monthly because that to me barely covers food/clothing/hygeine not to mention school trips, he will need a car soon, wants a cell phone, needs clothing (he came to us with 2 pairs of jeans, no socks no winter coat, 5 shirts, a sweatshirt and about 4 pairs of underwear–we have successfully gotten him a coat, socks, some jeans and shirts and underclothes) Can I sue mom or step dad for child support and if I can how do I do it??? Also I have turned her in for welfare fraud, social security fraud (cuz the kid she gets money for that lives with step dad) food stamp fraud…..but am doubtful anything will come out of that….amazingly she still thinks she should get food stamps because the kids "may" be with her once a week……Its pathetic!!!! Add it up…she gets 800.00 social security, 600.00 food stamps…..plus just received over 4000.00 from "her share of income taxes with husband"…..makes me wonder why i work and stay married:0

Welfare Fraud?

If a person getting food stamps is using them for another family also, is that welfare fraud? Also suspicions of not reporting all money coming into household due to selling things. Ideas?

Questions about child custody…..?

I’m nervous because my brother is going to court in a week and is suing for full custody of his children and we reside in a state that is known for having a sexist bias that favors mothers, New York State.
So, I’m wondering if people who have been through custody disputes can shed some light on whether they think is enough here for my brother gain full custody of his children.
The children have been in his temporary custody for about the past week or 2 when the judge issued the temporary custody arrangement with the belief that the children’s mother, who threatened to slit her wrist after an argument about housework, was deemed unstable. She is however allowed supervised visitation until they go to court.

Other information about this case and the children’s mother:
- The children’s mother has no stable place of residence. She’ll be living at my parents’ second home, which she shared with my brother, until the end of the 30 days that she is allotted before my parents can evict her.
- She has no steady income to provide for her children. She hasn’t held a steady job for more than 3 or 4 weeks at a time and hasn’t worked in over two years. Instead, she has lived off my brother for the last two years. He, on the other hand, has always held a steady job. She says that the reasons that she can’t work are due to anger problems and scoliosis of her back. she even tried to get a doctor to fill out paperwork saying she is medically unable to work due to these problems. The doctor refused, saying that medically there is no reason she can’t work.
- She dropped out of high school at 16 and therefore, sets a poor example for her children. my brother completed high school and did some college work.
- We recently found out that she had committed welfare fraud by failing to report two ,000 court settlements (which she received for an injury as a child) when she applied for food stamps and state assistance to supplement my brother’s income.
- She has no car or driver’s license to use for her children in case of emergencies.
-She has a documented history of domestic violence in the form of several police reports citing that she physically assaulted my brother.
- Even though she has visitation. Her children, ages 2 and 5, never want to see her. In fact, my 5 year old nephew said the other day that he didn’t want to see his mother because "Mommy is always angry."
- She and her mother, who she’ll be moving back with, are chain smokers and smoke around the kids. I don’t know how much weight the courts put on this issue, but as someone who had a history of asthma attacks as a child that were a result of my father’s smoking, I’m very passionate about children’s right to breathe clean air.

‘m asking people who have been through custody cases, do you think there is enough here for a man to sue for full custody of 2 children in a state that has a notorious reputation for leaning toward mothers?

is this fraud or what would the charge be?

My sister in law was involved in an accident with another member of my family. Her mother went around to cops, insurance companies, courthouse etc. and told them all that she was my sister inlaws power of attorney and they gave her information. She is using this information to cause trouble for my other family member. She also used this information to get temporary custody of my nephew. Can she be charged with anything for doing this or is she just a liar?
my nephew was in custody of the court but living with his parents. When she was in the wreck and in the hospital her mom went to family services counselor to tell a bunch of lies and got temp custody so she can get food stamps and a check.

how to report fraud?

reporting a deadbeat dad working off the books
I would like to report my husbands co-worker for fraud. He claims he does not work and there fore can not pay child support for his two kids. His ex-wife is barely getting by and because of him she and her kids had to go on food stamps and gov’t health insurance. He brings home alomst ,100 a week off the books. He is working for his uncle(the same place my husband works). I think it is horrible what he is doing to his children, and that my taxes have to support his kids when he is able to. My question is if I call the phone number to report him, will they be able to track me by my phone number and will i be talking to a real person or a voice recording. I want to help his wife and kids but if his uncle (the boss) finds out my husband will lose his job and we can not afford that.

In Washington State is it fraud if a married woman uses her maiden name to get Section 8 and food stamps.?
I know a lady who was married and had 4 children by two different men. Her older children by one man and her younger children by her ex-husband. On all four birth certificates she claimed that she had no idea who either of the fathers of the children were in spite of the fact that she never had any doubt about who the fathers were and both fathers assisted her with supporting their children.
This lady knowingly withheld this information from all state and government agencies for at least 18 years in order to get welfare benefits and section 8 . She has been able to get court ordered child support from both fathers as well and does not allow either father to claim their children. She currently has a boyfriend that lives with her who is a felon released approx 1 year ago, her oldest son 28 years old, youngest son 23 years old oldest daughter 13 and her youngest daughter 12.
Has this lady committed any crimes? Is she the only one that is liable for any fines or penalties due to the fact that she was never under any duress or pressures and willingly falsified any necessary documents in order to get free benefits from the government and state? Who should this lady be reported to? What are her possible penalties?

Is this welfare fraud?

A mother has a handicapped child who has nursing care for 49 hours a week. The child receives a SSI check, the mother is on Medicaid also, just like the child. The mother receives food stamps for herself, because the child is fed by a tube. The father is court ordered to pay child support of 600.00 a month, that DFCS is unaware of. What I would like to know is why does the child have medicaid. Shouldn’t the father be made to carry insurance on the child to cover the medical bills, and not the state paying all of them. Also the mother is a able body person who could work and not live off of the state, but she is too lazy to get a job. She has nursing care, so she could get a job, and not be a welfare case. Should I report this to DFCS. I feel this is welfare fraud.

is any of this Fraud?

I was just wondering if its Fraud to the state if a person that was married has two kids the age of five and six month. She went threw the whole divorce and was to collect child support, but she stopped it some how (after the divorce was done she was living with her ex-for about a year). She is collecting from him 0 in cash (have receipt for it) for support of her five year old child. She has another kid from another man which she is living with him now that is making a large sum of money.. he pays for her car, cloths, jewelry, trips (places off island), more then half of the rent, for his kid and puts some money towards her five year old son too. She doesn’t pay for that much food cause she collects food stamps.. she collect disability from soc sec (she claims that she has damage to her brain cause of a injury that happen a while back, but has doctors and med to prove it, but she use to work with her ex and she was perfectly fine.. well I guess I cant question) 0 also she gets a check for her five year old child from soc sec for 0. My question is.. is this fraud in any way? I mean.. she lives with a guy that has a lot of money and still collect food stamps (amount range for food stamp.. 0 my guess) living under the same roof as her? She now has to go to court to get child support from her ex for 0 ( was on the decree before she stopped it) cause of some kind of welfare fraud (yes she was convicted of fraud before). this is just a small bit of it.. does any of this sound fraud to you?

She lied about her living situation and receives food stamps. She lives with her boyfriend of 17 years (her 2 kids’ father-not mine) and he works as well, mowing lawns. She didn’t report that.
She drives 80+ miles round trip 3-5 times a week to go gambling.
She works as a waitress, so I don’t understand where she gets all this money.
When she’s home, she’s either online gambling (using real money), watching poker tournaments on T.V., or whining and moping because she couldn’t go gambling that day.
Every conversation with her includes something about money and gambling.
She rents a house and has 2 kids to support. She just kicked my 16 y/o sister out of the house – she’s a typical teen that back talks and doesn’t want to follow all the rules, but mom has mental issues and says horrible things and becomes physically violent with sister.
If anyone mentions anything about her gambling problem, she gets real mad.
My mother’s excuses are that it’s her money and she can do whatever she wants with it. But my view is she needs to make sure her bills are paid first and she has groceries for kids before blowing her $ on gambling.
Their phone and cable always get disconnected for periods of time.
I almost want to turn her in to welfare for fraud – how is it right for her to get food stamps, when she spends at LEAST 0 a month gambling -probably way more when you figure gas and online spending?
Honestly, it’s not my buisness, but I feel bad for my sister getting kicked out and want mother to take responsibility for her daughter.
My sis called me at 3 am last night begging me to come pick her up from her boyfriend’s house, because he had beaten her up. She has nowhere to go but here at my house. I will not be able to financially support her. I have 2 kids of my own and literally live paycheck to paycheck. I don’t get any gov’t assistance or blow my $ on addictions.

What can we do? Could my mom get into legal trouble for kicking my 16 y/o sister out of the house? Sister’s never been arrested but did recently drop out of school-with mother’s consent. Was in the process of getting GED before getting kicked out.

I know this is way too long and I apologize, but if you made it this far, thanks for reading and please offer any advice you feel may help. Thanks.
BTW I’m 26 and live on my own.

Our family black sheep "every family has at least one" stole information on our kids from our house. They then went and filed for food stamps and have been collecting on our kids. We reported them yesterday. What penalty are they probably looking at.

In the age of Halliburton fraud and ExxonMobil subsidies, our government spends billion a year on corporate welfare. (For comparison, that’s roughly three times what it spends on a traditional welfare program like food stamps.) That doesn’t include the recent bailout giving 0 billion to the same banks currently doling out billion in executive pay and bonuses — a scheme the Financial Times says "amounts to a large transfer of resources from lower to higher income earners."

If someone is doing fraud with the food stamps and she want to go after the ex with child support after telling to court that they do not want child support. When they were getting divorce she told the judge after the judge said are you sure because about this is finale that is it and she told the judge that she does not want anything. Now that she is single, she wants to go after for child support. Is there any idea for me that I should do? Put in mind I still have our son and the other two kids is not even staying with her.

I don’t see any clear cut lines between first world countries. They all have both capitalist and socialist principles at work.

America for example has public education for the masses, state owned and controlled universities, student grants, subsidized loans, job training, GI Bills, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, temporary food stamps, public housing, public transportation, state run military, 40 hour work weeks, overtime pay, minimum wage, work place safety laws, workman’s compensation, environmental regulation, laws against corporate fraud, force banks to insure with the federal government, manipulate interest rates to control inflation, etc, etc, etc.

France, on the other hand, has a stock market, private property, corporations, and spoiled brats.
David,

True, but America is more socialized then most third world countries. In plenty of them, education is only offered up to 8th grade. After that, people are on their own. My parents came from such a country.

This senior citizen couple I know gets 0 per person & food stamps they don’t need. This is not their pension or retirement money because they never worked before. They’re immigrated here & became citizens about 10 years. Then they started receiving money from the gov.t and I believe it is a need base social security aid.

The problem is they most likely lied on their application because the house they live in, the food they eat, and the clothes they wear are provided by their children. They lied and said they’re not receiving any assitant from their children.

Now they use the money for spurges buying gold watches, diamond bracelets, necklaces, designer shoes, purse, and going expensive international vacations almost every year spending thousands of dollars. This makes feel really bad because I know other senior citizens who truly aren’t receiving assistants and are starving on 2 small meals a day and barely has money to for new clothes.

Can I & Should I report them? And if so How can I? Is there a number or hotline I can call?

Is this welfare fraud?

If a woman who has one child (under one year old) and lives with the father of the child, but is not married to him constitute welfare fraud? She has stated that she can’t get married because their combined income would make her ineligible to receive food stamps or her "check". She has a full time job, as does he and has no problem spending lots of money on clothes and accessories yet she receives food stamps and a check every month. Either she is not telling them he lives with her or is just the fact that they are not married and not filing joint returns make her eligible? It just doesn’t seem like what welfare was intended to be.

Child Support Information. Please ?

First, I was put on child support 3 years ago and my case is now up for review. 3 years ago after my ex girlfriend and I broke up she went to child support while I was paying weekly child support to her directly (I have receipts). Child support wasn’t able to get in contact with me (I never thought to deal with child support. Bad move I know) and about a year after breaking up money was being directly taken out of my pay check. At first I was like whatever, its more then what I was paying and now I don’t have to deal with her and money. Changed jobs and I was making a lot less, called child support because I had a lot of questions come to find out I was paying an arrears from the time we broke up-till the day they started taking it out of my pay check, they said there’s nothing I can do with my receipts. As of today, she had the right to request a review and she did. I have over 00 in receipts that I paid to her directly. The arrears are paid off, an extra a week for over 3 years now. Don’t get me wrong, I love our daughter and will always regret that her mother and I do not get a long. I have always been in my daughter life and always will be. But it is unfair that I doubled paid. I am not rich, I have a small studio apartment, I have a company van and I am very lucky and happy to just be getting bye now n days. Her mother has since married, had a child and is not working and is doing just fine. If she is not working and has never maintained a full time job, how does that affect child support? Did she commit fraud by receiving government aid (food stamps) when our daughter was insured and I was paying weekly child support? Will I receive a credit, how will that work? Will anything happen to my ex because she lied? Some additional information, I recently took her to court for visitation, it is important to have something in writing from the courts, I have learned from my mistakes (good move). We have always had problems and I had always hoped that we would work things out as parents to our daughter.I recently took her to court for visitation, I ended up losing days because we couldn’t agree and I feared taking it to a judge because I was still getting a little more time threw what we did agree on compared to the standard issue time. Would I really have lost if we took it to court? There are two side to every story but the facts are : I’ve always paid child support, I love my daughter, I have always maintain a regularly visitation schedule, I will always be there for her. Dealing with Child support is rough, do they take into consideration what I really can afford and that I have to feed and cloth our daughter to, does it really matter what I go home with and what I have to pay to just barely maintain. I still can’t believe they make all there adjustments before taxes, I mean it’s really money I don’t have that there saying I do have. Thank you for your time and help.

so, she left them with her mother and moved in with this older very manipulative guy. Long story short, she stole the kids social security cards and birth certficates and put them on her welfare (unbeknowing to my mother who currently has the kids) so she is getting food stamps for these kids and the kids are not with her…. She is not supporting the kids. Isnt this welfare fraud?
