It seems like there is a proliferation of folks selling counterfeit anime and anime merchandise…as well as outright fraud. I just got ripped off by a company called CCG Armory, Baltimore, MD. They were selling the ArtFX Misato Katsuragi figure and listed it as in-stock…10 days later, I was still "assured" that it had been mailed. I even got several nasty e-mails from them. Well, come to pass they don’t have it…it was "damaged" and it was the last one (which, of course, didn’t keep it from posting it as in-stock after they admitted their screw-up. When I mentioned blogging the whole transaction, I had the money back in my account within hours. What squirrels!

Anyway, do be careful…there are some really unscrupulous people out there. Stick with the well-known merchants. For example, somebody is listing a 2DVD set of Aishiteruze Baby (all 24 episodes on 2 DVDs? LMAO) for a stupidly low price…which is interesting, seeing as how it isn’t licensed in the USA. Still, I know people are buying this stuff.

Anyway, this isn’t meant as a rant…so… Have any of you ever been scammed in anime or anime merchandise buying?
Well Pranksta…thanks for your little superior dance. You only buy from well-known merchants, but you prefer to steal instead? I actually was being serious here…but thanks for the laugh.
BargainAnime is one of the worst, especially as they go through all this crap about how they are really Otaku beyond words, etc. One of the best things to do before ordering from a new source is to Google the name of the source with the word "complaint."
timjake: I use Bob’s site for most of my stuff and RightStuff for the rest. I do admit that I use fansubs when there is no way to purchase the item (like Aishiteruze Baby), but they are destroyed as soon as the anime is licensed.

I am afflicted with a particular medical illness. Recently I purchased a product that is being promoted as a "cure" on the Internet. I want to alert people who might purchase this product of the problems I encountered and make sure people know that this company is being investigated for fraud. How would I create some sort of web site, posting or blog that I can use to publish my concerns? I would like for people who google or search for info related to this illness easily find my information.

Former IRS CID Special Agent Joseph Banister Acquitted of Tax Fraud And Conspiracy
Government Unable To Prove U.S. Law
Requires Income Tax Withholding or Filing

Sacramento California — On Thursday June 23, a federal jury found former IRS Criminal Investigative Division (CID) Special Agent and CPA Joseph Banister not guilty of all counts alleging criminal tax fraud and conspiracy related to actions he took on behalf of a California business owner who had openly defied the IRS over several years by stopping withholding of all income and employment taxes from the paychecks of his workers.

During the trial the Department of Justice was unable to put forth any evidence that Banister had either engaged in a conspiracy or had acted unlawfully when he shared legal research with business owner Al Thompson concluding that he had no legal obligation to withhold taxes from his workers or when he (Banister) prepared corrected tax returns for Thompson claiming his taxable income was, under U.S. law, zero.

During the trial, Banister’s former supervisor at IRS’s San Jose CID office, Robert Gorini (who testified via video recording) when pointedly asked, was unable to cite any U.S. law that required Banister to pay income taxes.

Banister, who was forced to resign in 1999 after questioning IRS officials about their legal authority, gave Thompson’s worker’s a presentation in 2000 which reviewed his detailed investigative research of U.S. tax law which concluded that not only did the IRS lack any authority to impose income taxes on the workers, but there was no legal requirement for the business to withhold any taxes from the worker’s paychecks.

Banister is part of a nationwide effort seeking to force the U.S. Government to respond to a series of detailed legal Petitions for Redress of Grievances directly challenging the authority of the IRS. Last summer, the We The People Foundation initiated a landmark lawsuit with 2000 plaintiffs against the government because it has refused to answer the Petitions.

The Right-To-Petition lawsuit, of which Banister is a plaintiff, is the first time in history that U.S. courts have been asked to define the meaning of the final ten words of the First Amendment.

Court documents for the RTP lawsuit and scholarly research regarding the Right to Petition can be downloaded from the Lawsuit Information Center on www.GiveMeLiberty.org.

Following the verdict, Banister was greeted by a throng of WTP supporters and members of his family.

Google Adwords — Charges for False Clicks?

I am an Adwords advertiser and recently I have been comparing my page views (how many times a visitors sees a page) to the number of clicks Google has been charging me. On November 25th, my Web site had 308 page views, but Google charged me for 705 clicks.

In any other business, that would be called fraud. Part of me wonders if Google is doing this to other Adword advertisers and that is how they are “jacking up” their revenues, thus increasing their stock price that hasn’t been seen since the “Dot.com” bubble burst in the late 1990’s.

My question is, has any one else experienced this problem and is there any legal action against Google I can take not only to help me but also other unsuspecting Adword advertisers maybe being taken advantage of without their knowledge?
You have it backwards, I have more clicks than I do page views and if Google have software to filter out multiple clicks, then I would not be charged for an additional 400 clicks, right?

Thank you Chris.

I did check with Yahoo! regarding the accuracy of their reporting software, and the tech support person said it is about 90% accurate still well below the extra clicks I was charged. We are located in Menlo Park right down the road from both Google and Yahoo so the time zone is not an issue.

My comment on revenues reported verses stock price of Google only makes me wonder how a "one trick pony" like Google can have such a high stock value when you compare in to other Internet properties like Yahoo! Google has no other revenue streams that revival “Adwords” and “Adsense” that syndicates Adwords.

I contacted Google by email. Google does not have a customer service phone number. Google issued their stock well after Adwords was well on it’s way of generating revenues for the company.

And don’t forget: Google Inc., according to the AP wire, had illegally issued more than 23 million shares of its stock to hundreds of employees and consultants, putting a legal risk into the launch of their IPO.

I am not even saying someone in Google is driving up my clicks, because there are more clicks than page views. If someone were hammering on my Adword link, they would reach the page and record a page view. What I am concerned about is that Google is over charging clicks without any audits. They might as well print their own money.
Thank you,
New Millenniu… Minds

The challenge is that Yahoo! Merchant Solution tracks the page view with a 90% accuracy. That leaves 370 clicks not counted for in the amount charged to me. If my competitor were clicking on my Adword ad, it would show as a page view. There is something deeper going on with Google, their revenues and their soaring stock price.

I run a web site using Yahoo! Merchant solutions that does a good job tracking the page views in real-time. Today at 2:40 PM Pacific time, I had 125 page views according to Yahoo! However, Google Adwords campaign Manager is charging me for 440 clicks. Assuming all the page views came from Google, I am being shorted 315 paid clicks. That is fraud!

My question is Google able to manipulate its earnings through click fraud? Google’s stock price closed on 11-25-2006 at 5.00 per share that remains me of the Internet bubble in the late 90’s that crashed and burned.

Since Google’s main source of income is Adwords and the stock price of a company is set by the revenues, could Google allow the same fraud that can be seen in their Adsense model also take place in Adwords.

FYI about Adsense Fraud. The way it works is someone sets up a Web site with a keyword, say “carrot juice” and puts minimal text that says something about carrot juice, recipes, etc. They then surround the text content with Adwords and when the visitor clicks on a link from a shared link site or an organic search result, the owner of the site gets half the bid price from the Adwords ad.

To see how it really works go to http://www.carrotjuice.com and you can see that someone is actually doing it. However, please, do not click on any ad.

I need to know NC child support laws?

I need someone to please tell me about the NC child support laws and rights for father’s that pay child support. DO NOT tell me to google it, I already have. I need help breaking them down so I can understand. I also would like to know when a woman is collecting child support, and she gets married.. when they compute the incomes together (hers and my hubby’s) does child support officials count her husbands as part of her income too? because if that holds true, then she is deffinetly commiting welfare fraud. Because I have pulled up on google the NC child support calculator and I have punched in these numbers…she makes 92.06 and my man makes 98.12, this is combined together..she is only responsible for 42% and my man is responsible for 58% and it says recomended pay is 0.00 so how the hell is he bieng forced to pay double???HOW are the going to make him pay a little over half his damn paycheck to this pyscho? So this is why it is so important that I know the laws and if they add her and her hubby’s income together so I can prove she is commiting fraud. Please help us! NO nasty comments please. God bless.

just answer yes or no, and give your 2 cents. I asked a question earlier and received an answer from a user named annie. She told me that my profession was a fraud, and she could prove it. She has a link to a bankrate.com article. What Annie does not realize, and that prompted this question of my own. Is that there are major differences between "Brokers" and "Registered Investment Advisers"
The latter , is held to a legal responsibility to provide service that is in the clients best interests. That means I have a fiduciary duty to my clients, that is legally binding. . .
Brokers…are connectors of people and product. they do not provide planning… they do not provide a written plan with instructions. . at the top of your statement if your account is a "Brokerage Acct" you have a broker…not an "advisory acct"
this is a huge misnomer…brokers advertise they provide planning, but they do in fact…not. http://www.financial-planning.com/pubs/fp/20060501011.html
false fiduciary
Annie… You cannot have filed for bankruptcy and be an IAR. Which means to me that you do not know much of what you have said. not really surprising, but I can’t help myself in responding.

I am in the business, and you must be a broker…A timeless relic who likes to preach about buying and ignoring, or is it buying and holding…doesn’t matter does it. Nope…I wish I was a broker…so i could peddle out whatever my company emailed me to sell today…"hi Mrs jones…you need to take advantage of this new law…buy XXX." if your not a broker…then I am not real sure what your talking about because your wholly incorrect. I have the highest level of accredited title within the industry…if your not a complete moron you’ll know what that is. i can’t help but get defensive when people are led astray by self proclaimed professionals. yeah there are bad advisers, I know some, but there is far more ignorance spewed from people who know how to use Google and Wikipedia.

How do you report Gmail fraud to Google?

Specifically, I’m looking for a mailing address to either a fraud department or a legal department. I want to send a letter. I know their corporate headquarters address is 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043. Is this the right place? Is there a specific department I should send to? It’s difficult to find contact information for them. Google wants you to email their people who may or may not get back to you. There’s something creepy about a company you can’t call.

My girlfriend had some funny charges appear on her bank statement, one was 0 yesterday and today she had one that was 3. It looked like it was a charge for using google adwords or something involving it, which she has never used. Is this probably a sign that someone has stolen her identity? Or is it a Google issue? Has anyone experienced anything like this?

so I traded this guy 600c and like 12.0 of rares on habbo for 2 runescape accounts, used a middle man, went good, there were no recovs or pins on either account. next day the passes are changed somehow, I figure he scammed me and I talk to him but he says he didnt do it which I know it had to be him and hes not cracking and keeps saying he didnt do it. so I just got scammed out of 600c and 12.0 which is like 30 dollars. I read that habbo arrested two finnish kids for scamming furni, I figure the same principle can be applied to this situation; you buy coins ONLY with $$$ and thereforth if you get it scammed it is theft like the 2 finnish kids did. I also have the guys phone number, he hasnt removed me from msn either. What are my options? Should I and how would I take legal action or something involving police, would it be worth it? I don’t think anything would happen he would just recieve a warning from the police or something if that and he would get scared and give it up. From the looks of his typing he seems scared already, he keeps stalling and saying "no I didn’t" and ill give you another account, but i cant get to a computer till wednesday or some BS. I just want to know how I should handle this situation. To me this is very important, I worked hard to get those coins, even if there worth 30 dollars you still would have to pay like 150 to get them from habbo.

PS: He lives in canada, (his phone no and his sms pin he gave me to use on the acc are from canada.) I think.

please no flaming or stupid answers :S
Edd, it may be virtual, but you pay with real money, Search in google: "habbo steal virtual furniture" an article about two teenagers who scammed peoples furniture got ARRESTED for THEFT, because fact is that you have to get the coins with real money instead of earning them so there just as much a real currency as any other currency, however if I gave him runescape gold that you "earn" it would probably not work since theres no money involved, but since I PAID for the coins from HABBO it is theft.

American Gestapo is here: "There is hereby created and established a permanent police force, to be known as the ‘United States Secret Service Uniformed Division.’"
America: secret jails, secret courts, secret arrests, and now secret laws
Snitch-or-Go-to-Jail bill will make pretty much anything short of reporting on everyone you see for doing just about anything a jailable offense. With minimum sentences, up to and including life without parole.
The problem with Gonzales is that he has been deeply involved in developing some of the most sweeping claims of near-dictatorial presidential power in our nation’s history, allowing him to imprison and even (at least in theory) torture anyone in the world, at any time
Police officers don’t have to give a reason at the time they arrest someone, the U.S. Supreme Court said in a ruling that shields officers from false-arrest lawsuits.

13.) Rampant Cronyism and Corruption: Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.

14. Fraudulent Elections: Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

The Republican Party has quietly paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide private defense lawyers for a former Bush campaign official charged with conspiring to keep Democrats from voting in New Hampshire.

No explanation for the machines in Mahoning County that recorded Kerry votes for Bush, the improper purging in Cuyahoga County, the lock down in Warren County, the 99% voter turnout in Miami County, the machine tampering in Hocking County

This picture is what stopped the ballot recounts in Florida shortly after it seemed that legitimate President Gore had a lead. The "citizens" started what was later called "the preppy riot". Screaming, yelling, pounding on the walls, these "outraged citizens" intimidated the polling officials to halt the court mandated recount. A closer look reveals who they really were. They were bussed and flown in at Republican lawmakers expense. Some even flew in on Tom Delay’s private plane.

Neo-fascism in America : Too many people believe fascism is only about goose-stepping, jack-booted Nazis.

They then surround the text content wi
