got into a car accident. the guy hit my driver side rear tire, cracked the base above the wheel and scraped up both driver side doors. roughly could have been at most 00. i have pics from the scene. body shop takes it on sept. 20. insurance company looks at it, claims 7000 in damages. took pics. i had the police at the scene to take statement. i made a recorded statement to insurance co. my story doesnt match damages claimed. insurance paid body shop 7 g’s. they claim every time i call them that the car isnt ready b/c parts are on back order. nov 18th they say i can pick up the car at 7pm. at 7:19 i walked into body shop – in wide open space they are painting my whole car. no filter. they tell me to pick the car up tomorrow at 8pm (in the dark). next day, paint is chipping off my handle and gas tank. took it to a body shop for second opinion. was told a bunch of parts to my car have been filled with "mud" – some bonding. no parts were replaced. front and back bumper effed with. insurance co. said i have two options, either take it back to original shop and demand it fixed or sue them. they claim they already paid and have no more to do with the situation because it wasnt a body shop on their list. i was told it was. do i have a case? its clearly insurance fraud right? i mean why make a statement if they just disregard and proceed. no way was it 7000 worth. please someone who knows what they are talking about respond. thanks.

There’s someone I know that was in a car accident a few months back, He was stating the other day that he was frauding the insurance co cuz he claimed that he hurt his back and said that he hopes that the claim hurries and gets settled cuz hes worried that they will find out that he had lied about his claim and they will get him for insurance fraud. Apparently his claim hasn’t been settled yet cuz he wants one amount and the insurance company wants to give him a lower amount. How can i go about finding out which insurance co that he is going against? This man is very ruthless, he really does deserve to be reported.

popped out and hit our neighbors (who we cant stand but thats another story) car. We told them and made a claim with our homeowners insurance (they are renters). So the neighbor told us she wasnt even going to worry about it cause it was a little dent. Well a week later we get a letter saying that they have mailed the neighbors a check for 746.00 for the estimate. My questions are:
Is there a time limit when they need to get it fixed
Can they just take the money and not worry about getting it fixed.
Should I tell the insurance company they havent even gotten it fixed, its been 3 weeks. I dont think they will get if fixed, they are scumbags and freeloaders. But is that insurance fraud? The got a brand new truck a few months ago because someone "hit them" I think it was intentional also, these people are shady
thanks

I caused a car accident back in March. I have already paid all my fines and I am finished with court ( The criminal aspect anyway… I was charged with careless driving). I signed an agreement with my lawyer/court stating that I would pay restitution for whatever my insurace did not cover. (I have full coverage insurance)
My passenger was minorly injured. Instead of filing a claim with my insurance company, she has filed for restitution with the court. I have been ordered to pay 9,358. After taking a close look at her medial bills, she has enclosed bills from BEFORE the accident and even a collection agency notice from 10 days after the accident. None of her gas milage listed (1,500 worth) matches with any of the medical bill dates of service. She also had full coverage insurance and I was told that her lost wages were paid for by her auto insurance. (I was told by a mutal friend, not sure how much truth was in the statement – so I took it with a grain of salt)
Clearly the courts did not look at this before the judgement was signed.
My insurance company has been trying to get ahold of her and/or her laywer and neither will answer and calls nor return them!
I have challenged the restitution and my question is what do you think is going to happen now? I know I need to hire a lawyer soon but what usually happens in a case like this where she is dodging my insurance company and the outdated medical bills from 2007? (Accident happend in 2008)
Will I be stuck paying the whole amount in the long run? Any advice that you can give me would be great.

I went to a plastic surgeon for a cosmetic procedure. She somehow convinced me that this is covered by my health insurance (private) because it is an airway obstruction. The doctor ended up doing unnecessary work which has results in permanent pain and damage. She billed insurance about ,000 in addition to what I paid her. I’ve heard she does this to others. I called the insurance company and they said there is nothing they can do about it. Huh? Any ideas on how I can report this fraud and to whom?

Can the owner of a insurance agency tell his employes how to fill out the mitigation on an insurance quote to get the lowest premiums knowning that the mitigations are false? Also the same company owner is paying the employes commission only and non of the workers are licenced 440 or 220 agents but they are still binding and writing policies arent they suppose to be on an hourly or salary pay? How can I report him? I have questioned him about the falsifying mitigations and he told me that "thats not my problem, thats the inspectors problem because he signs off on the inspections" But that led me to believe that the owner of yhe insurance company knows what going on…what can i do to put a stop to to his posible fraud??

a medical facility charged 00 in fraudulent charges to my insurance company..they are definately fraud as they charged for procedures not done/not needed..i have confirmed with another professional that the ‘care’ was inappropriate..
i informed my insurance company..but they don’t care…i guess its cheaper to pay it than to fight it..
the only thing is..it will cause my premium rates to go up..since i pay out of pocket.
is there anything i can do..
my out of pocket expense is 0..i do plan to fight that

A close relative of mine went on short-term disability leave back in September right before having early-stage breast cancer surgery and has been receiving short-term disability payments from her employer’s insurance company ever since. Following surgery and subsequent radiation (she didn’t need chemo), more and more "stuff" started appearing at her house that she’d been buying with the insurance money–new clothes, a new sofa, she’s talking about getting a treadmill, etc.–and spending hours online looking up genealogy-related stuff, which is a big hobby of hers. She’s also taken a number of trips to see relatives around the state and has gone with them on hobby-oriented excursions for several days at a time (some of the relatives are self-employed while others are retired) and apparently having a grand old time. Meanwhile she’s had no medical treatments in nearly two months–she finished radiation in January–but she says she still doesn’t feel well enough to go back to work, and oh yeah, she also mentioned out loud on at least one occasion that she’s making more money from short-term disability than she does from her job. But she feels really lousy and can’t go back to work because she’s not ready, yadda yadda yadda, but you wouldn’t know it from the way she’s been acting and the way she’s been spending money on things she doesn’t need to live.
I’m waiting to hear back from her insurance company on an anonymous call I placed to their fraud hotline, but it got me to wondering…I and many other relatives are seeing her do all of these things, but she’s apparently still giving her doctor this line that she’s not ready to go back to work, etc., and besides the fact that she’s stealing from the system, it’s really creating major tensions within the family. So what I’m asking is, once I give the insurance company the details of what I know and what I’ve observed, how can it be proven that she’s milking the system and what can be done to stop her? In the back of my mind I’m thinking it could even get her arrested if this sort of fraud is deemed serious enough, but not having dealt with anything like this before, I’m not sure how this plays out. Anyone have any insight on the process in reporting insurance/disability fraud and how insurance investigators go about proving something like this? I realize people can’t give legal advice on here, but I’m just trying to understand how the system works and anything else that might be a consideration.

I had a very bad experience at my last dentist’s office and walked out. The appointment was for a routine cleaning and exam. The dental hygienist was very rough and rude to me so I asked to see my dentist. They told me she was on vacation! I didn’t understand why they had me come in when my doctor was out.
Now, a year later, I have come to learn that my former dentist’s office billed my insurance. I started looking into it when my current dentist’s office sent me a bill for my last exam because I exceeded the number of cleanings covered by my insurance.
I just sent in an appeals letter to my insurance company stating that the exam and cleaning did not take place a year ago. One of my friends told me the dentist’s office is committing insurance fraud. I’m not looking to pursue legal action until I hear back from my insurance company. Until then, can I report it to an agency or organization, such as the Better Business Bureau? What are the possible outcomes?
Just to clarify…
I DID NOT continue the cleaning because the hygienist was very rough and I DID NOT get the exam because my dentist was out of the office.
The dentist IS licensed.

A few days ago, a deer ran into the car I was driving. (Yes, the deer literally ran into the car). I called the insurance company, gave them details on the damages, recieved a claim number, and was told they’d come look at it.
The car is in my Dad’s name, as well as the insurance. He had told me the car was full coverage, but apparently it’s not. Since I had called the insurance, and am not under the policy, the damage to the car is not going to be covered. He apparently told the insurance company that I did not live at home, nor drove the car.
However, I do live at home, and the car is for my mom & I to drive to work & leisurly purposes. He pays the insurance, but we pay the car payments.
I have been driving the car to Atl, Ga and back everymorning, a good maybe 30-50mile round trip. I would not have been doing this if I didn’t believe I was covered.
Is what he did insurance fraud? And if so what are the penalties?

I was driving a rental car and a truck lost a load of metal and totaled the rental car. I reported it to the trucks insurance company and they told me they are not responsible because it was a rental car. I have a police report and the truck driver got a ticket. I told them I am taking them to court and they said I will go to prison for insurance fraud.
but it was sent to collections and I have to pay collections. So I should be able to sue them

Aside from actual costs to manage a medical facility, the invention of insurance has generated additional costs that have nothing to do with treating or preventing illness/childbirth.
Health care fees has become grossly inflated with expenses that have nothing to do with actual health: Cost of insurance coverage added to salaries and our taxes to cover national leaders completely: salaries and benefit packages for non-medical CEO and CFO’s and other personnel such as employees that specialize in filling out medical forms, applying for benefits, filing all the information, collections of payments; insurance company pays for fraud investigators, employees to find technicalities to not pay benefits, their CEO and CFO and all other employees.
My elderly dog needed jaw surgery: half was removed and it was wired. She stayed at the clinic getting IV fluid and medications for four days. Her bill was 5 (including tax and medications brought home). Had this been my mom, the hospital would be investigating the possibility of getting her home somehow in addition to charging her insurance, and any others she is eligible for them to sign up for, charging initially more than ,000.00.

Three months ago, in the dead of winter, my windshield cracked because of the extreme and rapid changes in temperature. At the time, I wasn’t covered for glass damage by my insurance package. It’s time for me to renew now (I buy insurance in 6-month blocks online) and I need to get my state inspection sticker by August. So, if I renew my insurance now and add glass, then claim the cracked windshield in two months and then get my inspection sticker, will the insurance company be wise to my fraud? Is this even fraud? What chances do I have of getting the inspection sticker if I don’t replace the windshield, which has a crack that runs across the entire width of the glass?

I need help with an issue i am currently having with my insurance company. I filed a claim in regards to somebody vandalizing my car, it was keyed terribly on every part. However, the issue is that there was previous damage on the car, it was keyed on the driver side door and left rear quarter panel a few months earlier (prior to me enrolling with this new company), but I repaired that damage with touch-up paint. More damage was inflicted on the panels that had previous damage. I believe I am now under investigation of insurance fraud, and I am very scared as to what to say or do… they have sent out a "special investigator" and are requesting a recorded statement, they have not payed out yet. I do NOT want to commit insurance fraud but i feel like because I did not disclose this information earlier (about the previous damage), doing so now would constitute fraud. What do I do? Would someone with knowledge in the field give me a reasonable course of action?
my policy does not state i need to give a recorded statement, i am pretty sure they cannot add that as a clause in any policy.
the "special investigator" is in addition to the normal adjuster.

To buy an item at replacement cost, send the insurance company a copy of the receipts, and return the item. Then, of course, receive the replacement check from the insurance company.

Insurance Fraud, How to report it? And what will happen to the guy? This guy who has no life but to mess with other people just made a huge hole in the side of his house. I watched him do it. But I have to live next door to him. So I do not want to tell the cops. Or they will be over there telling him I seen him do it. So I have been dieing to get rid of this jerk. How do I report him to the Insurance company? He just told cops that* in his words:Some black guy, was in his back yard and smashed his wall with a sledge hammer. Now the insurance Company is outside taking pictures and he is telling them the same story. There was never anyone in his back yard. I watched him make the hole. If I turn him into the Insurance company will he finally go to jail? Or what happens?

My Husband was involved in a minor fender bender last Friday. My Husband was at fault. He was driving a company Vechle on the way to work.He failed to yield at a stop sign.He stoped but proceeded with out seeing a on coming car. He clipped the back quarter panel and scratched it, and broke the guys light. The guy got out and he said, "oh I just want to get it fixed, that’s all" they talked to my Husbands employer and the employer gave the guy the insurance info. The guy suggested that they just go to the Police station and file the report. The station was a few blocks down the road. They both drove their Vechiles to the station and filled out a paper given to them by the Dept. They left and went on their way. That night when my Husband went to collect his pay check, his Boss took a Hundred dollars out and said ya the deductible is 1,000. I will take a 100 a week out. Before he even got charged the deductible? any how we went on doing our thing over the weekend and Monday morning, my Husband receives a call from a Attorney that was representing this guy he hit. The Attorney left the name of his law firm, which is a major law firm. The message said that the wife in the accident is "hanging on by a thread" please call them inediately. The problem is there was no wife, and this was a fender bender between my Husband and this other man.The report this other man made also never mentioned another passenger or that his wife was dieing from injuries.
Our agent is moving at a snails pace, we told him what really happened and he is unavaiable to reach and basicaly we are in awe and have no idea what to make of this blantant scam on this guys part.
If the insurance company denies his claim for this attempted scam, can these people take my Husband to court, for the real damages? if the insurance company says screw this. What does a insurance company do in such outrageous fraud attempts? a woman is dying, because of a fender bender she was never involved in? the other guy also said my Husband ran the stop sign which never happened. He said he stoped and looked both ways, but erred and did not see him coming, because there was alot of parked cars on both sides of the street. He does not dispute that he is at fault for the accident. But everything else this guy is saying is crazy.

1. Insurance fraud–is it fraud when you cash a claim check but do not put fourth the money to fiix a vehicle?
2. How can you get a Dependancy Overide?
basic back ground: Age 18, High school diploma, with past and present work experience, am trying to get food stamps and partial unemployment for the fact not getting enbough hours to survive on… am on my own and trying despritally to go to college
put it this way…my mother told me to get the hell out of the house about 2 weeks before graduation (life was always hell being forced to live there)…(the school juvi officer didnt do shit especially since my father not wanting the cops attention he basically made me stay…day after graduation moved to help grandparents (in a diffrent state) unfortunatly circumstances forced me to leave the grandparents home and am currently renting a room from a family have made freinds of while have tried to start a new life.
recently just found out my father cashed the insurance money (that was supposed to go to fixing the hail damage on my truck (my truck as in its in both our names are on the title) as well as the vandilized key scratches) and stuck it in his pocket or rather into the 92 chevy purchace. Honestly had it been for the case that he needed to pay a bill bad enough or needed food for the house it would have been fine especially if he offered to fix the truck. However in short words he told me "whatever its in my name and you cant do anything about it..the insurance company will not give you any info"
needless to say with the past bullshit and this he has choosen not to have a relationship with his daughter.
Next pay check goes to getting onto my own insurance policy or at least seeing if cant get on with the family that im staying with ( honestly the people am staying with have been more parents than i’ve ever had!)… Neither parents or i seem to want contact with eachother and honestly it probably needs to stay that way.
since moving out Ive been living in a CLEAN, STABLE enviorment, am LESS STRESSED out and never has anyone berated or hit me in this new HOME enviorment
Im hopeing to be a college student… am enrolled with scholarship for august 31st..the only thing they have done for my college is give info to help get a scholarship for those who make less than 000 a year…but they made too much for fasfa
is there any way to get a dependancy overide if can prove have no contact with parents…how long do you have to not have contact to attain this overide?

If 0,000 was applied to the one that earns it only with interest over a life time, if that person became ill, yes they would afford a lower (not inflated) health care out of pocket. And my dog gums it- she eats steak with no problem.
Mark: non drivers may not drive but they stil use transportation which is on the road. Also, use is not limited as it is with health care where our leaders give themselves unlimited heath benefits leaving those paying taxes without access to care while paying for thier unlimited care.

My mom, grandma and uncle have a house together. My uncle borrowed money from the insurance company to get roofing done on the house. It has been a year now and he still has not got the roofing done. I been hearing thats insurance fraud and they can take the insurance off the house. My uncle helps with nothing on the house. What could happen if the insurance company find out and is there a way to take my uncle off the lease of the house due to that?

I crashed my car and took out the 00 motor and swapped in original blown motor. I’m pretty sure the insurance company wouldn’t give me 00 or even half that for my motor. I also took off the 0 hood and 00 wheels. We were told by the agent that they might not cover the aftermarket stuff, so we replaced everything we could that was aftermarket.
