I’m trying to set up disability insurance, but it’s been almost a month, and it’s still not in place yet. It’s illegal for me to work while attempting to set up disability insurance, as that would constitute insurance fraud, and I hurt to bad to work anyway. Is there anywhere I can go for help, that will compansate me in addition to the disability insurance I’m trying to get in place. I expect to be out of work for at least another few weeks. I have no money, and bills are beginning to fall due.

willfully destroy their cars / trucks / suv’s by pushing them off parking garages, cutting trees down on them and rolling giant boulders off cliffs to crush their cars. I realize they are going for a comical effect but they really are inadvertently promoting insurance fraud. How soon until someone actually does this and uses as their defense in court that Toyota promoted it. Your thoughts?

My son was in a car accident. Thank heavens he was fine. However, he has a nice classic car that he and his father were trying to fix up. The other kids insurance company gave us a check to get the car fixed but when we took it to get fixed we found some frame damage. Because of this he is considering parking the classic car – working on fixing it as he gets the money and taking the insurance money to get a new – used daily driver. My husband is concerned that this may be considered insurance fraud. I’m not sure. Any help would be appreciated.
our concern about going back to them is that they may total the car, then we’ll have an R title and we don’t want that…

1.I am being charged for Automobile insurance fraud. DA’s conclusion states accident never happened in 2003. And that 1 guy and i planned and got recruits from two cars.
2. Total of eight people totaling in the two vehicles. Which this concludes that its organized crime, when more than 3 are trying to
commit a crime so everyone benefits.
3. The 1 guy, admitted to 6 accidents that he planned, and one of those so called " Staged accidents is where my name is"
4. To make long story short, two people from the car that i was in are stating that it never happened and that i and my friend planned it. One of those is my x-gf, it was her car. THey all got imunity
5. Reconstruction accident experte, concluded that the two cars colided and one had others paint on it. And the car was drivable.
I am stressed, im in superior court and my lawyer is telling me to plea guilty , and get probation and a FELONY. I am a college student senior in engineering and i want to take it to court, because its a fifty fifty chance.. but the outcome if i loose is jail..
Ther is so many inconsistancies is everyone’s story, but my lawyer tells me that even if there is , dosent mean that they are lying…
Any advice for me??

1. there are recordings, that the DA has that i told my gf to get a lawyer before going to the police station to give a report.
2. She also recorded me as i said, " ur gona let cops scare you, u are a strong woman" .
3. WEll i have witneses against me that are lying, and they blame me for a Automobile insurance fraud they participated and stated i coached them on what to say. " they saved their ass, and lied, and u can tell by recordings of their stupidity.
4. One guy admited to one fraud, and got confused of another fraud he did . Well this guy is doing anything to get out of his Troubles and points the finger at me
5. Now their is a guy who pled to 38 charges of automobile insurance fraud, did 6 months in jail for it, and also stated i was his associate and that one of thoese accidents he plead guilty was " the paper accident he staged that i was in" only in paper.
A. In conclusion, out of the so called paper accident. of the total of the two cars supposidly crashed, there are 5 people stating that the accident was only done in paper.
B. 3 people in my gf car are stating it did happen, this hapened in 2002 and the case was oppened in 2008.. MY lawyer tells me to plea guilty because no jurror is going to belive that
(C)
All these people are lying because they wanted to plea a deal and they knew cops wanted me.. Im stuck and i have no idea what to do ,
3-yeras probation
0 fines
300 hours community service
-and a felony..
NOTE: Sucks, im trying to tell my lawyer im still in school and i graduate as a EE major next year.. I want to plea to a lesser charge, and have the felonies dropped.
If i plea not guilty, just to have more room time and breathing time. As someone stated in this answer, " i dont think i’ll have the choice to , take the deal offered in the beginning" ??
– He gave me a due date, and i changed that due date and he was ok with it.. BUT he goes on vacation the next week, so i think im being rushed.. ( its been 2 years now going to superior court)
– If i change my lawyer at this time, and get a private i dont think thats gona change anyhting. Cuz all the facts are there. but id like to plea to lesser charges, and drop the felonies!!!!!

Lets say you reported insurance fraud to an insurance company, such as Medicare, and they choose to ignore it or not take your claim seriously, even with hard evidence, where can you report them? Or where else can you take your claim?
Also, as a side note, where can you report a doctors office, or a doctor, for misuing his authority to prescribe drugs? And even after talking with him, he doesn’t stop, or doesn’t take your reports seriously?

I used to work for a billing company and if they got a superbill with aprimary diagnosis that they knew an insurance company would not pay for, ie. mental problems, hair loss, obesity, but the doctor put other problems, say hypertension, they would list the medical diagnosis and omit the non covered ones. I think this is insurance fraud. If so, how could an audit be done anonymously? I would love to close them down. You can tell I have a beef with this company.

I hate tailgaters as much as the next person but I think I witnessed insurance fraud today. I was behind two cars and one of them was going extremely slow. They kept stopping like they were going to turn and then would pull back into the lane and go straight. The person behind them was getting agitated and began to speed up and tailgate but then stopped because I guess they realized they were to close. Than all of a sudden the first car sped up as did the second car and then it stopped abruptly for no apparent reason and the second car rammed right into it extremely hard. I had to pull off into the shoulder as did the car behind me, thank goodness there weren’t any barriers or construction going on where we were or I would have been screwed. Was this insurance fraud? The car had no reason to stop at all.

IDK if its by state so here,
I live in MICHIGAN and here, having a Licensed Driver residing in your home (Even if stated person Doesn’t own a vehicle or drive other vehicles of the household) costs more for your CAR/VEHICLE INSURANCE.
If somone has another Licensed Driver in their home, but says that person doesn’t live there on Insurance Documents, is that insurance fraud?
And If So, by how much is it punishible?

I was called last night at 11:15pm and told by chp that they were calling about possiable insurance fraud. My stupid phone went dead and when I called back, I couldnt get anyone. They didnt call when they found my burnt car before I reported it stolen. The p.d told me that c.h.p. had it in storage. It was at a towing company and burnt to a crisp. Now Iam worried Iam railroaded. A lady from pre paid legal told me these cases very rarely go to trial. The insurance trys to settle out of court. Is this true, have anyone had this kind of thing happen to you?
Yeah I called Sat. morning, because he stuopid chp called me so late. Of course the lady who is handleing the claim wont be in untill Monday morning. I was paid off, and it had been a gift from my husband for our aniversery.
I mean IT was payed off, had been for over three years now. Now we’ll end up having stupid car payments again. I hate that!

I’m a 17 year old male living in Canada, and I just bought a car. Would it be insurance fraud to insure that car in my moms name, with her as the main driver and me as a casual driver, while she insures her own car with a seperate insurance company, not telling either company she technically owns 2 vehicles?
Becuase she just wouldn’t drive my car, and my car would be under her name but I would be listed as a casual driver and have much lower rates. If she insured her own car with another company and told them she only owns one car, I could have much lower insurance rates because I would be listed as a casual driver when really I’m the main driver.
Is that insurance fraud? Is it legal? I’ve heard of people doing that…

Much to my surprise, yesterday I received a letter in the mail from an insurance company, claiming I was in an accident on July 15th, 2009. I was on vacation with my sister at the time, and no such thing happened. The letter did not list my vehicle, the other person’s vehicle, or the time and location of the accident. It claimed that I needed to contact them immediately, and that they had been trying to contact me for weeks. I called my insurance company immediately, and told them I suspected fraud. Should I contact a lawyer? Does anyone know anything about insurance fraud? Is this something my insurance company will be able to take care of, or is this a pretty big deal? The letter claimed that the other party was injured, and I’m especially freaked out because I certainly am not responsible.

I am looking for a movie about medical malpractice. It can be anything from malpractice to insurance fraud. I am open to any suggestions. I am doing this for class and my teacher gave to movies as suggestions but I can use anything (she suggested The Rainmaker and The Verdict). Please suggest anything.

Is it insurance fraud, if I had a legitimate insurance claim. But I choose not to use the money for what the claim was for? Such as hail damage repair instead I used to fix the motor.

My "con artist" ex-wife, deceived me from the very first day we started corresponding as to her intentions (I wanted a wife……..while she wanted to swindle me).
Since she already knew BEFORE she even inititated ANY correspondence with me that she was not legally entitled to come to the U.S.A. under any kind of Visa, (Moral Turpitude …….. Child Abuse/Neglect) that she might as well find a "mark" to steal from. With this kind of deception in her mind she used a marriage to me to assist her in her efforts to STEAL ME BLIND!!
But does this "bogus marriage" (on her part), also constitute Insurance Fraud under my Health Insurance Policy?? I mean it is supposed to be for my wife and children, but if the authorities declare her actions to be "Marriage Fraud" doesn’t that mean that the insurance benefits she received were also obtained under "FALSE PRETENSES"………..and therefore criminal "Insurance Fraud"?
I mean she obtained insurance benefits through HER acts of DECEPTION and victimized not only me (thousands of dollars), but also my insurance company (also into the thousands of dollars)?

The worlds worst driver is no longer insurable by anyone and is demanding to be added to my 40 year accident free insurance policy. I say that is outright insurance fraud.
She says that it’s not even remotely close to "fraud" and that I’m ignorant to the way things are done in the real world. I already know who’s right – the question is; what’s the nicest way to tell a friend "NO!" knowing that it will destroy her?
The plan she presented to me was to sign her car title over to me so that it looks like I just bought a second car. JEEZZZ.. how can anyone in their right mind think that’s NOT fraud.

I am a new life insurance agent. My roomate, who I worked for before I switched jobs, is a carpenter. One of his customers, who is a lawyer, asked him to write an estimate for removal of a fallen tree and repair of a fence it fell on. The lawyer then told my roommate and I he wanted the estimate to say 00 for his insurance, but he would only pay us 0 to do the work, and he would pocket the rest. Since this is obviously insurance fraud, we declined the job. The lawyer has since been persistant in calling both my roommate and me, saying he needs the estimate anyway, even if we didn’t do the work. My insurance license is in a different state than this lawyer lives, (we live on the border between two states) but I know he is trying to commit fraud. Should I report him? I have knowldge that he is commiting fraud?

someone i know received a LARGE payout from an insurance company for "permanent injuries" in an accident. It has been settled, and now he does everything, heavy lifting, recreational sports, etc. Since it is settled, as of march of this year, should i not be so upset that it looks like insurance fraud. i pay so much insurance costs that people like this just infuriate me. i was told by others who have the same opinion of him, that once it’s settled the insurance company can’t do anything. True? thanks for any help/opinions on this matter.

My kids are covered by my ex-husbands insurance. Recently I took them to the doctor. His insurance pays 0 upfront but they mailed the check to him. He cashed the check and wrote a personal check to the doctor which then bounced. The doctor’s office tried to contact him for a credit card number but he would not give one to them. I ended up paying the 0 out of my own pocket since I am responsible for the bill. Did he commit insurance fraud?
