will people go to jail for voter fraud?

ALBANY, GA (WALB) – There are allegations of voter fraud, as a Dougherty County family claims the vote of a mentally challenged relative was stolen.

They say the adult day rehab program where Jack Justice attends took him to vote, without the family’s permission. What’s worse is Justice says the person helping him wouldn’t cast the ballot for his choice for President.

Jack Justice has been voting since he turned 18. Typically his family takes him to their neighborhood precinct. This time Primus Industries, his adult day rehab program, took him to vote. His family was shocked, but what shocked them more was that Jack claims that his aide commandeered his vote.

"They told me to vote for Obama, I said no I wanted to vote for McCain," said Jack Justice, a voter.

Jack Justice says the person helping him, selected Obama’s name. His sister says the family is often asked to sign a permission slips for trips, but for this they were never notified.

"No permission slips, no nothing, he just came home and said he had gone," said Nancy Justice, Jack’s sister.

We questioned election officials about the procedure, who say they recall the group coming in to vote and an aide was helping the individuals, but they must sign an oath that they’ll cast the ballot however the voter prefers.

"So it plainly says the person should tell the person how they want to vote and then they help them mark it," said Carolyn Hatcher, Dougherty County Elections Supervisor.

Election officials say they can’t follow people into the booth to see what happens. We contacted the Albany Area Community Service Board who oversees Primus Industries. They say they do their best to protect the safety, treatment, and care of the individuals in their programs. They also said they’ll look into the allegations and conduct an internal investigation if necessary. Nancy Justice is just upset the incident happened.

"For me it was kind of pushing it to the limit there to get him to vote for someone in particular who they wanted him to vote for," said Nancy Justice.

Election officials say the family’s only option is to file a challenge to the election results. The Justice’s are considering their options.

Advance voting will begin this Monday at the Riverfront Resource Center on Pine Avenue. Advance voted will run through October 31st. No one will be able to vote the Monday prior to election day.

Hi, I bought a beauty salon 3 and a half months ago in St. Albans, NY and the lady who sold it to me, lied about how much the salon makes a week and didn’t say that she was selling it because the neighborhood was bad and there are drugdealers selling drugs right next door of me and of course it scares the customers away. The thing is that I only gave her half of the money in the beginning and the other half I was supposed to pay it in 3 installments in 9 months (every 3 months), but the business doesn’t even make enough to cover the expenses and now I want my money back and don’t want the business. Does the law back me up on this? Do I have the right to ask her for my money back since there’s fraud? I would really appreciate an answer from a lawyer who knows about this.

Thank you!

I’m starting to think global warming is a scam?

I don’t believe everything the media tells me.

If global warming was true, the government has the power to easily put legislations on the big companies and factories to force them to find alternative ways to be more environment friendly. Since they are the biggest polluters. They need to do something about thoughs guys anyway, polluted air is not good for the public to breathe.

Also, the fact that Al gore, the main spokesperson for global warming has not "gone green" and has a huge mansion that uses more power than my whole neighborhood, and his own private jet, just adds to my suspicions.

And does anybody know what happened with the 30K scientists that wanted to sue al gore for fraud? Haven’t heard much on that.

Oh, and if we are in a world wide crisis that could wipe out humanity, then why am I still getting tickets from the city for not mowing my lawn?!?

I’m starting to think global warming is a scam so they can come into our homes. Tell us how much water, how much electricity we can use. And tax us for breathing.

How to report Social Security Fraud?

A former neighbor of mine went to jail for drug possession and drug dealing. She cannot make bail and is facing a 20-30 year sentence. She is a Social Security recipient and has given her boyfriend power of attorney to cash the checks. I know she is not eligible to receive social security benefits while in jail but the checks keep coming. How and who do I report this to. I need to remain anonymous, at least in my own neighborhood.
I was able to get the date of incarceration and date of birth by following link from sheriff's office to county jail.

shut down big oil?

Oil companies like to play a shell (no pun intended) game.
company 1 has 3 subsidiaries.
a sells to b who sells to c who sells again to a
the oild never moves, but the 'sale' price climbs so each company can make a profit and then the ficticiously expensive gas hits your friendly neighborhood gas pump!
fraud and it happens daily!
OIl companies generally announce 350%-500% profits
WOW
and none of it helps our economy (with the exceptions of the boards of said companies). The US gov't puts a HUGE tax per gallon and when is the last time you got 1/10 cent change for your gallon?

time to shake up the system and force, by law, the constant flow of oil, no make believe shortages!
TEXAS and OKLAHOMA produce huge amounts of oil, but they pay more than the nat'l average at times

FRAUD!!!
ALASKAN pipeline oil goes to JAPAN for 50% of what we pay for arab oil!
FRAUD!!!
Let Japan buy arab oil and we can drop prices selling our own
tyvm!
