A friend of mine had her name used to open up a Yahoo account. Then the person who opened that account tried to ruin her character with a volunteer organization by sending rude emails with her name on them.
Yahoo has shut the account down, after a lot of work and her faxing her ID and stuff to them. They will not give her any information on WHO set up that account.
What action can she take? She works for this non-profit organization and this has brought her character into question……

I am 17 years old work for a restaurant called Frizzle’s. It is privately owned business local to Huntsville, AL. I have been there for 9 months now and like the work and the people decently. For the first few months I never really kept up with my money, but some people started complaining about being shorted money so I have been keeping very close track of it lately. I have noticed that I am missing approximately 4 hours or so on my last couple checks. I asked the managers about it and was told that due to a lot of employees taking a break on the clock, everyone is now being deducted 30 mins (allowed break time) out of every 4+ hour shift. Can they really, legally do this, or is that considered payroll fraud? I personally do not usually take a break when I work, and when I do I actually clock out. It’s not necessarily even the money issue that makes me mad, just the fact that I am flat out being screwed out of money for time that I put in money.
I am also pretty sure that the money that is deducted from our checks is not being reported on their tax records (although I have no proof of this). Since it is an individually owned business there is no corporate office or anyone I can complain to, so what I can do about the money that we are all being ripped off? I would rather avoid having to sue them, and I’m not interested in making thousands of dollars. I just want to be paid for the time I work. And I don’t want a bunch of lawyer and court fees just over a couple hundred dollars.
I am also requesting a copy of the record of all the hours I have worked since I have been there and a copy of every check stub (which from whata I read they legally have to give me if I request it and I KNOW they have it all on record somewhere).
Anyway I know this was long, but I appreciate any advice or information anyone can give me, especially like a civil lawyer or something. If you think you could help me out with a few questions long term please email me at penguinluvinman@yahoo.com

These individual(s) constantly send emails or IMs requesting personal info. They use Yahoo, Microsoft etc as endorsers or even the actual company itself. I know better and it is annoying but it must still work because they keep trying. What can I do to assist in the apprehension of these terrible low lifes? I want to report them to proactive individuals.

My question:: Jain hospital – Fake surgeries, faked MRP high prices in pharmacy, useless doctors …?
In Other – Health – was banned by yahoo for showing what the hospital does, is it correct?
The question showed MedPlus stoes newly launched giving a 10% discount at correct rates for example
-Gloves at Jain hospital, Blore & other big ones: Rs 34/= at MedPlus its Rs 15/= for the very same product
-Diapers at Jain Rs 360/= for a pack of 5 -pack of 10 not available – outside its Rs 400/= for a pack of 10 !!!
-A injection costing Rs 1,300/= is sold at MRP of Rs 2500/ at Jain Hospital, Blore
People please answer if it’s the right thing to have been done by Yahoo to stop bringing out the truth?
Negative comments will be from frauds of the medical comunity ripping of the general community.
The Government is sitting by idly, we will be writing to them – if more people write it would improve things to a great extent as the cheats should be treated like any other criminal who are better and do not pretend to do good to you.

I run a web site using Yahoo! Merchant solutions that does a good job tracking the page views in real-time. Today at 2:40 PM Pacific time, I had 125 page views according to Yahoo! However, Google Adwords campaign Manager is charging me for 440 clicks. Assuming all the page views came from Google, I am being shorted 315 paid clicks. That is fraud!
My question is Google able to manipulate its earnings through click fraud? Google’s stock price closed on 11-25-2006 at 5.00 per share that remains me of the Internet bubble in the late 90’s that crashed and burned.
Since Google’s main source of income is Adwords and the stock price of a company is set by the revenues, could Google allow the same fraud that can be seen in their Adsense model also take place in Adwords.
FYI about Adsense Fraud. The way it works is someone sets up a Web site with a keyword, say “carrot juice” and puts minimal text that says something about carrot juice, recipes, etc. They then surround the text content with Adwords and when the visitor clicks on a link from a shared link site or an organic search result, the owner of the site gets half the bid price from the Adwords ad.
To see how it really works go to http://www.carrotjuice.com and you can see that someone is actually doing it. However, please, do not click on any ad.

individual "lazy employees" at ACORN, (which generated so many famous or phone book names in multiple states) have been convicted after being "turn[ed] … over to law enforcement for prosecution?"
"The problem for these lazy employees is that ACORN isn’t stupid and would flag the registration cards as suspect before turning them over to election officials. If they suspected fraud, they’d also turn those employees over to law enforcement for prosecution."

I received an e-mail that let me know that I was eligible for a 500,000 dollar check for something. This e-mail claims that I would be getting this directly from Yahoo. I would like to inform Yahoo about this in an effort to let Yahoo to do what they feel free to do in the legal world.

My question has nothing to do with any kind of phones. This is a company that I wish to work with as a mystery shopper or auditor and need to know if they are a scam or fraud company. Where do you go to find out if a company on the internet is legitimate?
The company did not contact me. I contacted them. Its so hard to believe that no one at yahoo answers knows where to go to check and see if a company is a fraud or not. This is my first time to ask a question and I received 1 reply.

My daughter set who is a minor set up a email account with yahoo. This process required my who was a guardian to set up a family account which would allow me access to my daughters email account. As part of the questions that I was asked to do this was what was my credit card number and date of expiration. Was this a fraud getting access to my credit card information or is this normal part of setting up a family account? If this is normal, then why did yahoo need my credit card information in order to set up a family account?

Periodically I’m prompted for my cell number and password clues when I try to log into my Yahoo mail. It looks official and says if I don’t provide the information, I won’t be able to log into Yahoo in the future. Hitting my Back button usually makes it go away and then I can log in normally, but the screen keeps appearing (at home and at work). Is this a legitimate request from Yahoo?

I operate a full line internet security suite which constantly updates very timely antiphishing sites updates to ensure against fake sites. Does sign and seal provide added protection then while on Yahoo? And, will it conflict with my present Security Suite? I am a bit leary to install for that reason and would appreciate "seasoned" feedback. Thank you!

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., urged the FBI and the Justice Department to put people who have committed mortgage fraud behind bars.
investigators have 530 active corporate fraud investigations, and 38 of them involve some of the biggest names in corporate finance —

I received a phishing email and reported it to phishing@cc.yahoo-inc.com, but I only received an email that said they would respond in 48 hours. I never received a response even after an entire week has passed. Is there somewhere else I should report the email to since yahoo didn’t respond?
